“A miracle worker”

I was first referred to a vein "specialist" by my GP. The "specialist," without doing tests, looked at my leg and said everything was fine. I had the good fortune of visiting a podiatrist who happened to look at the veins in my left leg and referred me to Dr. Cogan. She ran a thorough ultrasound and found that a main vein in my leg was 3x the diameter it should be and suggested ablating it. She was very empathetic and explained everything clearly. Her office made sure it was covered by insurance.
She did 2 treatments- the ablation and a shorter procedure where she injected medication in some veins. She talked me thru each step and the results were amazing. The vein she ablated is closed and 5 other veins had diameters reduced by 1/2. She said medically I am fine and almost all the ugly veins in my leg have gone away.
I would recommend Dr. Cogan to anyone having vein problems.
No, it was not done for cosmetic purposes. Blood was pooling in my ankle which could have led to chronic sores.
