“Small Minded Prejudice DR”
I can sum most of this experience up by starting with the first line she wrote in my medical chart. "This 22 year old comes in with her boyfriend whom she has had for the last 6 months. He has obviously had multiple surgeries on his face. The patient has her body littered with tattoos." Those are the first two sentences in my medical chart! I do have some tattoos on my arms, but I'm not sure what that has to do with my medical condition? And my boyfriend was a passenger in a serious car accident when he was 16 that has left him with several facial scars, he came with me because I could barely sit up. I had just gotten back from Africa the previous week, I went on a mission trip with my family for 18 days to help build a nursery school for orphans.
Instead of listening to everything we had to say, and the fact that my cousin of the same age/sex experienced all the same symptoms days prior to me experiencing them was diagnosed with stomach virus. We spent every minute together in Africa, had the same symptoms days apart. However Dr. Mcnallan decided I must have an STD, and actually said my boyfriend gave it to me. After a very upsetting visit, and an extra week of the same painful symptoms I chose to see my boyfriends Dr, who made it clear that the odds of it being an STD were almost zero, and he wasn't sure where that thought process could come from. He prescribed a medicine for the stomach virus, and within 48 hours I was fine.
Despite the fact that Dr. Mcnallan clearly wrote in my medical chart that I DID NOT want to have any blood work done, she still had the blood work sent to the lab. The hospital has continued to make attempts to bill this lab work, and refuses to acknowledge the fact that the medical chart clearly states "She really does not want to have a blood test"
It is very obvious by the opening line of this review, and her notes in my medical chart that Dr. Mcnallan had her mind made up about me and my boyfriend before a word was spoken.
This problem has been dragging on for 3 years now and causing other problems every time my insurance changes.
Background on my boyfriend and I for reference:
We are young, and we may not look like Adam & Eve, but we are very successful Hudson residents and business owners. My boyfriend has owned his own home for 8 years, aside from 30% of home value we carry no debt. We are extremely responsible, successful individuals that are writing this review.
