I have seen Dr. Mimms for several years and he has always treated me with respect and is always willing to go above and beyond the limits of expectation at anytime. I have had problems with prescriptions but it is staff issues, nothing personally with Dr. Mimms. He is always quick to fix problems.

Just like the other several reviews stated, I was dropped unfairly by Dr Mimms. I used to work at Community North and I knew him before I was a patient. He was so kind, I became his patient there, then he left suddenly. I had to see other pain Drs until my pcp called me to tell me he'd started practicing out here. I've been on full disability for 5 years now. I have back and hip issues as well as chronic pancreatitis, sphincter of oddi disease, and a pancreas that is slowly turning nercrotic (dying) I started seeing him again, he was so great. The front office staff is horrible, the phone never is answered, calls aren't returned. Your best bet is to email them. So January 4th I got a voicemail at 11:30am to come in for a random pill count by 3pm or be dismissed. I called back almost immediately. Of course, no answer, I told them I had started the prep for my colonoscopy the next day, I couldn't drive an hour there (if you've ever had to do prep for a colonoscopy you know what I mean) the girl said, you've got until 3 regardless. I was crying. I'd seen this man for years. They refused to let me talk to him. I called my gastrointestinal Dr and he faxed a letter stating I was doing prep and having the procedure the next day. No one was answering my calls or emails on Thursday or Friday. The following week I got a letter in the mail, printed on ordinary paper and signed by some girl I never heard of. **see picture** They gave me a 30 day medication refill and basically said see ya. I've emailed requesting to speak with Dr Mimms, they never let me. I'm trying to find another Dr. I have went to 2 others so far. First one was horrid, second is at least kind but tell me they won't even prescribe dilaudid, regardless of the fact I've been on that for 2 years and I've tried all kinds of other thing over the past years and even had so many surgeries I can't even count on both hands. They say that they can only give equivalent of 90mg of morphine. So I'm basically going to have withdrawal very soon. They gave me numbers for clinics. The first Dr did tell me that she's seen several of Mimms patients and that he's been doing some shady things. Dr Mimms talked about Christ with me, he prayed with me, I purchased 2 of his gospel CD's from him. He claims to be a Christian man but anyone who would leave patients like this isn't. I've been in bed for almost 2 weeks. I'm back like I was years ago, unable to move around much, stuck on heating pads and in hot baths, passing out bc the pain is too much. Stuck at the mercy of ER doctors. HE TOOK A OATH. Dr Mimms if you're reading this, you've failed me. When my ex comes in for his appt with you, I'll be there. He was with me during all my illness and tests, he's seen what I've gone thru and how with meds I had at least a better quality of life, now I'm back to square one. So, even though you hide behind your staff and make them do your dirty work-you'll face me. I'll be with him when you walk into his room and shake his hand and act all nice.

Referred in May 2016 yes near 10 months ago. And I've known this doctor 6 yrsago when he eas with Rehab Associate and was great, i have know idea whats going on! They never answered my calls, never confirmed apt until January 1 for Jan 2, they were closed. Now the family doctor said he's at his limit and can't continue my narcotics for my 16 diagnoses plus. This is wrong! Now I'm being told the faculty us being investigated, the doctor prefers his gospel rap more than his practice. I'm shocked. I seen him 7 years ago when I was in a severe car wreck and had a nice experience. Wow! Now I'm cold turkey for 12 time in 7 yrs. Not right. And if your doctor says your insurance coverage is no good there any more per insurance that's a lie. Both FSSA and Anthem said any doctor can be aproved Physician for them with 72hrs of receipt of paperwork. So if a doctor gives you this,zcus it's mostly lack of motivation helping those with HIP, Medicaid, etc! If you pay CASH hello way different story. Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde.....

Giving people 5 hour timeframes to get into your office is literally impossible for some people! Answer your phone once in awhile oh wait you didn't want to because you wanted to drop half your patients to make yourself look good to the DEA! Dr Mimms is doing some shady stuff and for those of you that have had the same thing happen to you I suggest you call the dea and tell them your experience with this practice! I did and talked to a detective and I told her everything I know. The more people who call the more likely he will get shut down so he can't do this stuff to people and jeapordize your health that are doing nothing wrong! He had his staff give that ridiculous timeframe on purpose and that was to cover his own butt.

I have been coming to Dr. Mimms for over 5 years and every visit I look forward to! You wouldn't think that someone would look forward to a doctor's visit but he had the best attitude, listens, helps with ANYTHING you ask him about. The best part he knows I love his singing. He usually comes in the room singing and I just sit there and listen. Sometimes I think that heals better than the medicine. Also, he knows I am religious as well, so he prays with me when asked. The best mix of man's medicine with God's healing powers!

Dr. Mimms is one of those rare doctors who understands the severity of pain and how it affects your body, mind and spirit. He never discounts your pain. Dr. Mimms listens intently. He explains things clearly. He has a calm and very kind countenance. Trust me from a person who has seen MANY doctors for my many ailments Dr. Mimms is one in a million. I would recommend him to everyone and I have done so. His assistant Ebony is just the same. She is smart, kind, patient and extremely proficient.

Over three weeks, I have tried calling this place to get a new patient appointment for over 3 weeks, they did return a message one time and I missed the call by.seconds. I tried immediately back and no answer. Still no call back. I hear dr. Mimms is a good doctor but, I don’t think I will ever get to know, because I can’t get an appointment. It doesn’t look like I’m the only one who has had problems with the staff. My doctor knows him and recommended me but, his staff is horrible.

Ive had a great expierence at this pratice with Dr. Anthony Mimms. When he left his last pratice I looked him up to get back with him as a patient. Ive been seeing him on and off since 2012 now i see him ever 3 months. He has compassion and is a great doctor. His staff at first really kinda failed but there is new staff at the receptionists desk now and I really like the change. Dr. Anthony Mimms is a wonderful pain specialist to have. He cares about his patients and listens very well to your concerns. I think hes a very compassionate, caring person. He does what he can do within the policy and law. So keep that in mind please. They were bad about answering their phone so email was the best way to get a hold of them but now the phone is answered but getting back to you is a different story. I had to call 3 seperate times when I had something come up for them to finally answer me. The wait for appts can be longer at times but at others pretty fast. Also you need to be honest with Mimms about anything really and if he can he will work with you. I really couldnt ask for a better doctor to help control the pain Ive been in lately and even before my condition worsed. I really have been in horrible and excruciating pain lately so Im grateful and thankful to even be getting what Im getting. If you are dropped as a patient then honestly theres a really good reason that happened. Shout out to Mimms, you are an amazing doctor and please never stop being you. Your postive outlook and soulful voice boost me every time I see you. And your bedside manner is great. Youve gotten me through some really hard times so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart <3

I don't even know what to say. This practice does horrible things to its patients. We drove back from Nashville, TN in under 5 hours for a 'pill count' just so my wife wouldn't be kicked out of the practice. 2 weeks later, she shows up for her appointment and they tell her she's kicked out for an incorrect pill count. 3 per day times 12 days = 36 pills. There were 36 pills in the bottle. There must be some other reason they're getting rid of people. They should do it the right way and transfer them to another practice if they want them gone. She doesn't even take narcotic medicine, she gets shots and muscle relaxer pills. It seems like once a month they would make my wife nearly have a panic attack with something they do. It's sad. To the Dr Office: Most of your patients are not pillheads or junkies. Treating my wife the way you did makes me sick. This is the 2nd practice this Dr Mimms has been at, where this type of stuff has happened. He dropped off the face of the earth for a year all of a sudden when he left the practice up on the North East side. I could go on for hours about all the things his offices have done.

This Doctor is being investigated by the DEA. I go in for my appointment they tell me I have been dropped from the program. Why I have done nothing wrong. We know that but the DEA come in and got you medical records. Not just mine by the way. So Dr. Mimms is dropping you. He left me without any meds that I have been on for 10yr yes 10yr. What do you think that's going to do to a person. Kill them they didn't care. They told me we know you did do anything wrongoing. Okay then according to the DEA who I called and every flipping doctor I have talked to by law you have to take care of me for 30days with everything you have me on. Just sad to think this good Christian man would do a person like this just a shame!!! I'm a dime a dozen to this doctor Kevin Badders
