On April 29, I saw Dr. Deirdre U. Kato, my recently-appointed OB/GYN doctor, at the Kaiser Permanente Falls Church Medical Center, in the city of Falls Church, Virginia. This was the first time I saw her. As soon as she entered the room, I told her that I was not feeling well for the last 4-5 months. My symptoms were abdominal bloating and fullness, and heartburn.
