Having become interested in treating skin cancer as a specialty, Dr Gerner has undertaken training in the use of dermoscopy to more accurately evaluate skin lesions. Using this technology and also digital mole mapping allows him to follow changes in patients skin lesions over time and more accurately evaluate the risk of cancer posed by those lesions.
