“Now my other knee”

Many years ago, Dr. K did a partial knee replacement on my right knee. That knee is doing great. I just saw him for my left knee. I was really afraid that I was going to k=need a replacement again because even though I did so well I don't like the idea of surgery.

After an x-ray Dr K told me I did not need a knee replacement and I am being treated differently.

“Finally...getting my shoulder fixed”

For the past 2 years I went to a bunch of hospital clinics and doctors to get help for my shoulder. One of the places finally got an MRI but I then went to 7 more people who said they could not do anything.

I heard about the clinic at BronxCare and went to see Dr. K. He told me he was not a shoulder surgeon but had a lot of experience seeing shoulders in clinic. He examined me and took a good look at my MRI.

The best thing was that he showed me how his partner there will be able to fix the tear in my shoulder. He set me up with an appointment to see Dr. Allen soon.


This was great news and I appreciate the time he spent with me and the care he gave me.

Dr. K operated on my knee a few years ago so when I had pain in my other knee there was no one else I was going to. He he so good. He spent an awesome amount of time with me and explained everything completely.

I Don;t need surgery now. He put to together a plan for me to avoid that. I really appreciated it.

“Platelet Rich Plasma- Great!”

I had my left knee operated on but my right went to Dr. K for what are called platelet rich plasma PRP injections. He draws my own blood, puts the tube in a spinner and then pulls out some fluid that takes care of the inflammation in my knee. After three of these I am feeling amazing. Great that the office gives these kind of shots.

“Both knees”

I have really horrible arthritis in both knees. I have not seen a doctor like this who spends time explaining everything that needs to get done. It seems he is the chief of the bone surgeons here and his team is great. He sent me to his knee replacement surgeon for surgery. I am glad my problem is finally being taken care of.

Good doctor. He worked with me a long time to help get rid of my knee pain from arthritis without surgery, This is good for me because I can't have surgery now. He uses a new type of injection for the pain in the knee.

Dr. Dr. over the last 7 years or so replaced both of my hips. I am doing great and he always makes time for me in the office when I see him for checkups. Great doc.

I saw him in a clinic near his hospital. The hospital, I think, runs this clinic in Washington Heights. I had a thumb injury. He knew exactly what I had, even though I found out later he really is a hip and knee expert. Looks like he knows a lot more because he got me right to a hand doctor to fix my problem. Thank you.

“Injection in my knee”

I saw Dr. K for arthritis in my right knee. I did not want surgery. After I spoke with him he started injections and medications. Feeling better now.

“Came from other hospital, glad I did”

I had a leg injury and was treated at another hospital. My general doctor sent me to this doctor. I kind of waited in the office for a long time to see him but I know I was added onto his schedule. I almost left but glad I stayed. He knew exactly what was wrong and go me going the right way.

I came with a very hard problem to understand and he explained it to me very well. There is no question that he enjoys speaking to patients and helping them. He helped me a lot where others did not understand my problem. I am keeping him as my doctor.

“Hip Replacement”

For three years I was bounced around pain management clinics for my hip pain until someone recommended Dr. Kirschenbaum. I sent to him and after x-rays, he immediately made the diagnosis of hip arthritis. He told me I can go for a hip replacement and it would get rid of my pain. He knows a lot and is caring in the office.

I had both of my knee replacements done by Dr. K many years ago and just say him for a follow-up appointment. They are doing so great. I have no pain and he told me the x-rays look like the day he put the knee replacements in. I am really grateful that I chose him as my surgeon.

I went to him and I knew I needed knee replacements but I thought I had more time before the surgery. Looks like I did. He really spent time going over my x-rays and choices for treatment. I am continuing to avoid surgery and feel so much better.

I did not kneed any surgery but he took my pain very seriously and set me up with injections. I have had cortisone injections and the office now give a new type of injection called PRP and I may try that next time.

Dr. Kirschenbaum replaced both of my hips. The first in 2013 and the second in 2014. I can;t say enough how great a job he did. I have no pain and I am walking so much.

“My Knee”

My right knee, it has been bad for a long time. I don't know why and went to see Dr. K at a new clinic connected to the hospital.
He showed me all the problems I had with my knee and it all finally made sense why I was having trouble walking.
I am seeing another doctor at the hospital, Dr. Huang, who works with him so that I can get my knee replaced. I am thankful they are all there.

“Both knees need surgery”

I went to Dr. K for a second opinion because another doctor told me I did not need surgery. I thought this was all wrong and Dr. K agreed. He took x-rays of me standing up and showed me how bad my knees were.

He did tell me that the decision to have surgery was all mine and depended on the amount of pain I was having daily and also whether or not I can do what I want to do. Since I can't even walk more than 1 block this was not a hard decision.

I went to this doctor and I had bad knee arthritis. Now I am getting a knee replacement. The clinic was great.

I have a bum hip. I went to a lot of doctors and this is the first one who really explained to me why I had to lose weight before the s=hip surgery. He gave me a slot of advice.

I went to another bone doctor who told me I needed a knee replacement. Dr. Kirschenbaum went over all my x-rays very carefully showing me why a knee replacement was not going to help with. This was great news!

Now I am on medications and getting an injection and it's working.

I had surgery with another doctor at another hospital and Dr. K was kind enough to see me because I was in pain. He made sure I did not have an infection which was good. He gave me some pills for my inflammation which worked great. I recommend him and his entire clinic.

Not many people have rheumatoid arthritis. I do and Dr. K really knew a lot about how different treatments can help me. He treated the arthritis I had in his specialty and sent me to hid hand surgeon for that. I am so glad they have so many =good doctors there.

I always love it when I read about the good things other people are saying about Dr. K! I met him almost 10 years ago when he first came to my hospital in the Bronx. He replaced my right knee and has taken care of so many other body parts, I almost can;t count. Glad I met him.

I am not doing well and went to Dr. Kirschenbaum. He carefully did a whole bunch of tests and we figured out what was wrong.

I do need a second surgery but I am finally glad that someone spent the time to figure out what was wrong and recommend a solution.

“First time- Great!”

I went to see Dr. Kirschenbaum because I had pain in both of my knees. I am only 51 and did not want surgery. He examined me and had x-ray right in the office. He showed me I had arthritis but explained to me that there were a lot of things we could do to avoid surgery. He started me on a plan that I am really glad about.

The office is so nice. There are not a lot of good offices in my area and the people in the front and the assistants in the back were helpful. Dr. K got an MRI on my knee. I may need surgery but the surgeons in the practice are great.

Dr. K did my knee replacement 3-4 years ago and it is amazing. Just saw him for a follow up and he still is that same caring doc I remember on the last visit. I can do everything I want now with my knee. Still going strong.
