Our experience with Dr. Lynch and the SGB procedures (duel reset-both sides) was nothing short of miraculous and has been life-changing for our family. I was dealing with long COVID myself for 16 months, our daughter has POTS and anxiety, and our other daughter has PTSD due to medical trauma. I had a big family trip planned and was unable to walk due to severe knee pain/problems. None of my orthopedic surgeons were able to offer me a viable solution. I went to see Dr. Lynch in January for knee pain. I love to walk, run, and bike. I had been unable to do any of these activities without pain during and swelling after. I feel compelled to share. I'm hoping someone like me reads this and benefits, as I have, from SGB. TLDR: My anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, reactivity, brain fog, and "monkey brain", and even ADHD went from "nearly every day" to "a few days a month". (From 30 days to 5 ish.) > 50+ yo executive, non-veteran, w/ childhood trauma, Dissociative Identity Disorder (diagnosed in my 50's). Stuck. My brain was agitated and anxious and now it's calm, and clear (most of the time). I still feel stress and get 'triggered'; it's just less often. A lot less often. I also get unstuck faster. If I got stressed at something 10 times before SGB, now it's 2 or 3 times. Though now and then I'll react too strongly, it's less frequent, and less strong. This appointment was the most welcoming I have ever had with any physician. Dr. Lynch & I connected immediately--he listened attentively, told me what to expect and the possible long term procedures (and cost) once the diagnostic procedure was completed. He even said it is POSSIBLE that the diagnostic procedure will solve my problem. It is now six weeks later and it appears that my problem is solved and nothing further needs to be done. With that said, Dr. Lynch emailed me today to tell me the door is always open if my pain returns. Wow, what great follow-up. I was just working in the garden. stepping up a two foot high retaining wall, when I realized I would not have been able to do that six months ago. Actually I was scheduled for hip replacement surgery. Someone gave me Dr. Lynch's card and I gave him a call. To think that six months ago, I could not walk to end of the street without hip pain and just last week I speed-walked about a half a mile. I am so grateful for his expertise and skill. I was a bit apprehensive about getting the injection but I have to say that it was truly a piece of cake. It was done before I really even know that it had started. Immediately after the procedure, I had no idea what to think. I just felt like a blank slate- then It donned on me that that was the goal. Suddenly I felt like I could deal with things with steam coming out of my ears and the top lifting off my head. I was right. Amazingly, it also helped with the nasty nerve pain I deal with every day. It feels like it numbed it.

Dr. Lynch did two alternative procedures which seem to helping reduce the pain significantly, I am still recovering, but it's going well. I am VERY active with hiking, rucking, biking and ice hockey and I need my heel to be pain free. Dr Lynch is great!

As a therapist with two masters degrees and over a decade of PTS symptoms - I’d love to say I knew the secret to fixing myself on my own. I have been very fortunate to have incredible therapists with military family members with PTS who have had extra empathy for what it’s like. I have tried Effexor up to 225 mg, many other antidepressants in different combos, IV Ketamine, EMDR. Everything has helped me at different points of my journey but nothing has made me feel comfortable in my own skin. I’m actually shocked at how SGB has worked. I’m a few weeks out now and instead of having to do 30 minutes of progressive muscle relaxation to loosen my neck and shoulders and try to avoid migraine - I can notice the tension starting and consciously relax in a few moments. I am gradually planning to do some exposure with my therapist and it’s interesting noticing the dramatic reduction in avoidance. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Lynch and SGB. (ps have a good therapist to process with after)

He was able to pin-point defects they didn't see, explain how those affect the body, and what he thought the best course of action was for recovery all in a manner I could easily understand. He walked through every option and how it would work. At no point did he pressure me for anything, and talked through every aspect with me to make sure the path we chose was the best option. As a result, I am 6 weeks post-PRP treatment and am back to almost everything I was doing before, with a promising path to be fully recovered in just a few short weeks more. As someone who has struggled an entire lifetime with complex trauma, I truly understand the way a provider treats you can greatly affect the outcome.
