“Keep looking for another psychiatrist”

I would recommend searching for another doctor. There is something "off" about Dr. Lam. Each time I asked her about something regarding the research in the area of my diagnosis, she would reply, "I don't know. I don't follow that." I'm not talking about obscure ideas and small clinical studies, but broad medical questions that many laypersons would even know the answers to (i.e. whether there's a genetic component to an illness or if hormones play a role etc.). “Find someone else, someone who will actually care.”

I went to Dr. Lam for over a year, simply because I needed someone to continue to write my prescription. She is a joke. She is cold, demeaning, unorganized, never remembers who you are and her true purpose seems to be making the prescription companies money. Her office is extremely messy and covered in free prescription trials. She continued to try to push new, expensive medicines on me that didn't work and gave horrible side effects.
