Dr. Slate operated on me 10 years ago. I had a recurrence of breast cancer and had undergone radiation therapy ten years before. He spent over three hours with my husband and me discussing options and outcomes. Implants were not a great option as they tend to harden in a person who has radiated tissue. We decided to have him perform a very complex procedure: a free tram flap reconstruction, requiring over 12 hours of surgery. So am very much at a loss to understand the post below. With that said, Dr. Slate treated my wife for reconstruction after a double mastectomy. His wo...

Dr. Slate is the best surgeon. He literally saved not just my breasts, but my life. I am forever grateful to have found such an experienced and caring doctor. He was always there for me when I needed to see him right away, and really understood what I was going through. Anyone would be lucky to have such a wonderful doctor.
