I am a first time mom, and started seeing Dr. Van Kirk when I found out I was pregnant. I got along with him very well, he listened to me, and gave me clear answers. When It came time for the big day, he was calm, reassuring, nice, and made the delivery easy for me. I had some tearing and a lot of bleeding, but Dr. Van Kirk took great care of my needs, and I healed up beautifully! I cant wait to get pregnant again, and have Dr. Van Kirk right there with me. I highly recommend him!!

With this being my first pregnancy I had no idea what to expect but Dr VanKirk answered all of my questions with compassion and I knew that my baby and I were in good hands. During delivery I felt like I had the most skilled physician possible for the job. I can't thank him and his team enough, he made me feel very safe during the most challenging experience of my life. I decided to switch doctors at 5 months because of different point of views and lack of compassion for my concerns and fears. My friend and cousin who saw him said they had the same experience. His staff was very rude when I chose to switch and it took me 2 months to have my paperwork sent to 2 different doctors. I racked up 3 different hospital bills just so make sure my baby was okay because I was unable to see a doctor due to the paperwork taking so long. I will say everyone was nice and helpful until I decided to leave his office because I felt uncomfortable and had several issues that were passed of as no big deal.

During labor, I was lucky enough to have him there, and he brought humor, calm kindness and support and strength in just the right times. The office staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If they don't know an answer, they find one and get back to me promptly. I had a very complicated third pregnancy, in and out of the ER in frequency. By the grace of God, Dr. Van Kirk happen to be at Mercy one of the times I was admitted, checking on patients. I still hadn't found an OB, he took me on as a patient without hesitation. He's an extremely busy doctor, but always found time to answer my questions and get back to me in a timely manner, the duration of my pregnancy. He always took time to answer all my questions each visit, no matter how ridiculous they were, he was reassuring and set my mind at ease. The pregnancy was tough, all the way to the end. My water ruptured, but I was not showing signs of labor commensing which led to induction. Each choice he made had the best interest of me and my baby in mind, and he explained things every step of the way, which made things less scary. I had a VERY fast labor and delivery once the pitocin kicked in, one he will probably never forget! He barely made it to the hospital I progresses so quickly! Lol! I thank Dr. Van Kirk for his expertise, his commitment to his patients and their individual needs, his humour, his professionalism, and his love for what he does. I have a beautiful baby girl, safe and healthy.

I have went to Dr. VanKirk for many years now. His staff is always willing to get me my answers right away if I call in. Which says a lot that they are able to go and ask the doctor while I am on hold, fantastic communication. I have seen Dr. Vankirk for all my OBGYN needs and he has delivered both my children. I never am unsure about the procedure I have to have and go in with an easy mind knowing that I am in th best possible hands, and that all appropriate steps and follow up care is on point

Always a great experience! Dr Van Kirk has great bed side manner, a fun personality! Makes you feel very comfortable, no matter what is going on with you. Great listener and attentive to your every need. Extremely informative and helpful.This will be my second pregnancy under his care, and I feel very comfortable and confident in Dr, Van Kirk's ability to take care of both me, and my baby's needs. I was recommended by my insurance. After a horrific experience with another local Dr. I made an appointment with Dr. Van Kirk. He called me out on some personal issues I was having and had the compassion to listen rather than dismiss them. Its rather hard for me to "connect" to a healthcare professional in terms of comfort and trusting them. Dr. Van Kirk has been nothing short of compassion. Their really needs to be more doctors in this area that are as compassionate and guiding as he is.

Dr. Van Kirk & staff have been very good to me. I got in twice this month on the day I called with a helalth issue. His staff never made me feel like I was a bother or that it was a pain to fit me in. The second issue required surgery, and came up a week before a long anticipated (planned & paid for!) vacation. Needless to say I was in pain, stressed out, and emotional. Dr. Van Kirk has a very good bedside manner, which helped me be more calm. He spoke personally with a surgeon that day, I saw her the next day,, and had my surgery the same evening. Vacation saved! I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Van Kirk!

Van Kirk and his staff are not like any other office I've been too. His staff always remembered myself and my husband and were always willing to work with our perpetually tardy schedules. Dr, Van Kirk himself is always smiling and forthright in his examinations and explanations. If there was ever any concerning factors to our pregnancy, he dealt with them factually and made it very easy for my husband and I to not become alarmed and stay calm. Overall, our experience with this office was amazing and i would recommend them to anyone who asked.

I have a patient with Dr Van Kirk since 2008 when I first became pregnant. He delivered both of my children which were both c-sections. He is wonderful and very thorough in explaining everything through out my pregnancies and all my medical needs as my regular OB/GYN doctor. I would highly recommend Dr Van Kirk for your primary OB/GYN doctor.

Dr. Vankirk always takes the time to listen, and go over things with me. His staff is just as amazing...always friendly and welcoming. Dr. Vankirk was not able to deliver my first child, but he did deliver my 2nd and it was such a difference. The delivery was smooth and quick. He made me and my family very comfortable, and was very informative on what he was doing. I have referred friends to his office, and everyone is so thankful that I did.

I came to Dr. Van Kirk's office thinking I needed surgery. He was able to do a different procedure in his office in minutes. The office staff was efficient and friendly. Talking with his assistant was easy and comfortable. The advice I received from another doctor scared me. I am so glad I got a second opinion, and I will be returning to this office from now on!

I was referred to Dr. Van Kirk by a family member 3 years ago when I found out I was pregnant with my first child. After reading countless reviews, I felt he was a good choice to help me through this very exciting journey. Best. Decision. Ever. From the second I walked in the office, I felt comfortable. His office is bright and clean. His staff is so friendly and helpful. I'm always greeted with big smiles by all of the girls. Dr. Van Kirk is amazing. Being a new mommy, I had countless questions and he was very patient and informative with all his answers and explanations. He is very professional but also very kind, compassionate and funny. I had some complications at the end of my first pregnancy and I 100% believe it was because of his advice and expertise that my daughter arrived in my arms safely. I am now 35 weeks pregnant with my son and I know that I am in good hands. I wouldn't trust any other Doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great OBGYN. horrible experience. cold, judgemental and he kicked me out of his office for refusing the advanced maternal age scan. Its my body, my choice but he doesn't think so. i told him i did ivf and his first words were ..."who will do your reduction?" he was simply judgemental that i did ivf and transferred more than one embryo. i have a singleton, but please... how cold and harsh can you get?!

The receptionist was extremely rude and said you would not be accepting new patients. We are a retired couple and I, the husband am a self employed business owner with 2 different heath/medical insurance policies for my wife and I. One policy is an individual Anthem Blue Cross, not a Pathway, and the other is Keiser Permanente self employer policy. We needed Dr. Van Kirk for his expertise and Cheryl I think it was was rude and would not even help us or refer us to another gynecologist. As a business you do have the right to refuse new customers. I hope you dont lose old patients.

Great Doctor! Down to earth, and very professional. After complications in a previous pregnancy I was extremely nervous when I got pregnant again. I was very careful when choosing an OB-GYN and am so glad that I found Dr. Van Kirk! I had been working with another doctor for months to figure out what was going wrong with me, and all that other doctor did was tell me to make more appointments and took more of my money. Dr. Van Kirk took the time to actually perform all the tests that I needed during my first appointment, figured out what is really going in with me, and quickly developed an effective treatment plan. Dr. Van kirk is the BEST!! Being a first time mom I had a lot of questions, Dr. Vankirk always answered my questions with fact based answers and a little humor. During delivery he was absolutely amazing, kept us calm during what could have been a stressful situation. My husband and I had ( and still have ) full confidence in his skill and expertise. We are looking forward to our next pregnancy with Dr. Vankirk and his amazing staff!
