“Will not be back to Dr. Alimenti”
Went to her for a physical. Had recently been to the ER for major depression issues. She asked what was going on and I began to tell her, which she rudely interrupted me and said " Do you want to talk about suicidal thoughts or have your physical?" I asked her for reference to a mental health provider and if she thought perhaps my anti-depressant medication was no longer affective. She replied " I can't help you, I don't know anyone. Get in your car and drive from office to office and get a feel for the places. I don't have time to monitor your medication. See you in a month, good luck."
I was stunned by her cold attitude and lack of compassion in dealing with an already depressed patient. I went asking for help and got zero.
