“Not the best guy to use if you want to lead an active life”
I had him do my surgery for a double knee replacement on 1 July 2014, and things went well. In December of that year, I thought I'll probably try skiing again in January as I was in such good condition at that time, as I was working out in a gym two or three days a week for months and felt as fit as ever in my knees and in the rest of my body. I thought I had one free visit left with him as I had only used three of the four visits after surgery. But when I arrived there I was told it had expired in September, but I saw him anyhow. I ended up paying in two ways. One; I paid the fee. Two; he told me to do some really different exercises that I had never done, even when I was back in rehabilitation after surgery. I did them three times one day and four times the second day, and then both knees went out from under me, and I've been a cripple ever since then, and no doctor has been able to explain what happened or why I'm in pain all the time. I have seen four other top doctors and no real answers or solutions. It's coming up on 1.5 years since my knees failed me, and I've been in PT since then, and I can barely get around. It's not what I thought my life was going to be like with two new knees. Dr Stan Griffith is no doctor. He has no empathy for you as a human being once he has been paid a couple hundred thousand dollars. When I went to him after my knees failed, the first thing he said to me was, Oh, you had a relapse. He tried to distance himself from having any responsibility for what happened. People who knew when my new knees were doing well and see me now, find it hard to believe. Two women I've met since limping around as it turns out, also had Dr Stan do their knees, and they regret it as well. I just wonder how many more people are out there like that. He can make you a cripple with his poor communication skills.
