“Unprofessional and negligent”
The following is true and accurate to the ABSOLUTE best of my professional knowledge and integrity: July 17 I had a "simple, safe" posterior capsulotomy that went terribly wrong. Within an hour or two my vision had gone blurry WAY, WAY beyond the 2/200 legal definition of blindness. I KNOW that because I measured it. I am a professional senior engineer with extensive experience in optics and lasers. I placed an emergency call to Dr. Tanji. He told me that is "NORMAL" (???) and that he would examine my eye at my scheduled appointment in five days. Over the phone he ruled out even the possibility that this might be a very serious emergency - Without even looking at my eye. I can no longer drive at night. I now need a 37 inch computer monitor, vision-impaired keyboard, magnifying glasses for things that are too small on my 37" monitor. He doesn't seem to think there is a problem. "One Star" is a gross over-rating for this kind of negligence and unprofessionalism, but the web page does not allow "Zero stars" or negative ratings. This of course does not even scratch the surface of my problems with this guy. If this is the kind of "doctor" you want, then you found him! If not, Run For Your Life!. I only wish I had.
