President's Day is a good day for an eye appointment! Everything was faster and even more pleasant than usual, for parking, check-in, and all eye tests. Dr Cowan listened to to what I was experiencing and the anxiety I felt. He looked at my eyes and sent me to have different tests right in his office and reassured me that I would be ok. He had a plan for me and I am following his instruction to assure my eyes stay healthy. I recommend him to everyone.

I have been using Dr. Cowan for many years. He is thorough, explains everything very well and always answers questions patiently. His staff is also excellent. However, under this new system instituted by Sight MD, what used to be an extremely efficiently run office is now horrible! Each visit is 1 1/2 to 2 hours with many patients complaining about this new wait. A simple eye exam for a new prescription took over an hour! (It was early in the morning with no emergencies and it wasn’t even crowded) Please fix this ridiculous system because I do not want to find another doctor but I will not continue to sit there for two hours watching the poor staff run in circles with each patient. More unnecessary time is wasted as they escort each patient from one room to the waiting room to another exam room then back to the waiting room to the next room….. (and this isn’t only in the case of special testing, ie FOV) Plus, please consider elderly patients who have trouble walking!
