I checked out Dr. Hood before switching from a doctor with whom I was very unhappy in 2014. John Hood has lived up to the good reviews. Since I am a 78-year-old woman, I hope he outlasts me. It is hard to find a good doctor. Having medical knowledge is just the beginning; having “people skills” is important. I have had 3 doctors in my adult life who had both qualities. The first I lost when I moved out of the insurance coverage area. Second one retired. Hood is my 3rd one. I have experienced 2 doctors who disappointed & irritated me. I changed doctors both times.

I never have any issues. The staff is very nice. The Nurse Practitioner is great. I used the online check in and waited oitside in my car because thats what the online told me to do, and it said someone would come get me. Well finally someone from the office called to see if i was still coming to tje appointment. I told them that i was outside waiting in the car. I wasn't aware that this office does not use it yet, It was explained to me that it doesn't fit with them yet. So that was time wasted.

Feel so much better after using bioidentical hormone cream. I reccomend him to anyone looking for a doctor. Nurse practitioner Acevedo is also wonderful! I hope that she will be there permanently.
