The best decision I ever made was to discuss my incontinence issue with my doctor and not accept it as old age. I was referred to Dr. Caveney and after a few tests it was determined that the cause of my issue was an enlarged prostrate. I elected to have laser surgery and after after a week was totally back to normal. No leaks, no pads, no catheters and no meds. It was difficult to overcome the embarrassment of discussing my problem but Dr. Caveney and the staff at UPNT put me at ease through the testing and surgery.

If the color of your urine is not correct, please have it checked, even if it only happens once. It very well could be bladder cancer. This is what happened to me. Dr. Caveney and staff were able to quickly see me, perform a successful procedure and provide follow up treatments to give me the best care I could have hoped for.

I have had a history of bladder infections and Dr. Caveney was able to give me the possible cause of these and hopefully how to stop them from reoccurring! We are still working on i this but I have total confidence he will come up with something to heal this condition! He was able to suggest ideas and behaviors I was neglecting or totally unaware of that can help me break this uncomfortable reoccurring pattern! He knows what he is talking about! He gives you confidence! He is direct when he needs to be! I would like others to know that you may be doing some things that you can change that will help your condition! When I was told I was having Prostrate problems, I was not a happy camper. I’m an 81 year old man. I’ve had 6 major surgeries and had long since grown tired of being sliced/diced and poked/prodded. However, because the male Prostrate is usually associated with the big ‘C’ word, I pulled up my big boy pants and called Dr. Maxx Caveney with Urology Partners. Dr. Caveney had been recommended to me by my Primary Care Physician and I could not have made a better decision. To say Dr. Caveney knows his stuff would be doing him a great injustice. Not only does he know all the ins and outs of his speciality, he and his staff talked me through the entire procedure. Their kindness alone relieved most of my stress. He listened to my ideas and said the test wouldn’t change his mind about the biopsy. I then agreed with him and he did an excellent job on the biopsy. No pain, very little bleeding, and an excellent surgery center staff. The test showed a localized cancer and at the follow-up we decided to watch the prostate and do another in a year. I came into the ER in pain. Within 30 minutes I had a cat scan, pain medication, surgery scheduled and admitted to a room. I had surgery early on the morning and Dr. Caveney came in a talked with me. He explained everything. Surgery went well and I woke up with zero pain! I did not take any pain medication after the surgery. This was the first kidney stone I have ever had. I got to the office for stent removal and I was so nervous. The nurse got me prepped. Explained everything. I was embarrassed too because of modesty. Both the nurse and the doctor talked and distracted my attention to where I wasn't thinking about being disrobed from the waist down, feet in stirups, about to have this stent removed! The actually stent removal lasted less than 30 seconds! I worried for nothing. It was so easy! Dr. Caveney then talked with me about what the stone was made of, preventative steps and answered all my questions. I felt fantastic leaving that office! Dr. Caveney my hero!

I met with Dr Caveney and explained my circumstances, we discussed options and decided on a course of treatment. Immediately, due to the medication prescribed, my youth was restored and I am now fully functional. I thought I would never be able to “do the thing” again. I didn't expect this visit. At 40yrs, I was very nervous about having to discuss a mass on my kidney. Dr. Caveney didn't hesitate to tell me we needed to remove my kidney immediately, and he reassured me a senior urologist Dr. Hollindar, would be there for surgery as well. Surgery went well and I'm still in recovery. I'm very fortunate that we acted quickly because the tumor was so large.

The post hospital stay urologist follow up was with Dr Caveney who was very thorough, considerate and he showed an extreme amount of compassion. After his education to me for her recovery needs and passing on it on to the caretakers, my mom made a full recovery and had the catheter removed in less than 2 weeks. He is a breath of fresh air and will highly recommend him to anyone.
