“My Birth Experience”
I was put in Middlesboro ARH Hospital August 5th 2013 because I had high blood pressure and was overdue with baby # 1. Three hours after receiving the Pitocin my water broke and by the time I was 4 cm along I was ready for the epidural. The staff told me that Robert Hughes was the best anesthesiologist the hospital had, but my experience was traumatizing. The nurses held my head down in the pillow and after three times of sticking my with the epidural I asked him to quit but the nurses kept saying "just one more time and you'll be numb" and Dr. Hughes kept asking "is that your spine?" while he was tapping to the left of it. He stuck me at least 11 times and the only thing that went numb was my left leg. I kept telling the staff I wasn't numb but they just blew off each time. I will never go to that hospital again to have a baby. Going natural without any pain medicine to deliver is the best way to go!
