I dislocated my knee and at the ER they referred myself to Timothy Peters. I was to get in quickly to be able to get a MRI and know the damage of my injury. A week and half, first app, I was put in a brace. 3 weeks later finally got my MRI because my insurance had not received his notes for authorization for the MRI. Almost 6 weeks later of my injury I went in for the MRI results. I torn my acl and mcl and partial tear in my pcl. This doctor then precedes to tell me he's not doing surgery bc he only does them in younger patients. I'm 40, which is not old and he knew this at the time of my first app. Put me in a new brace and wrote me a therapy script. He was extremely vague w his explaination of my injuries and I believe he must have a 3 to 5 minute rule w his patients yet the wait for the appointments are late. He spreads hisself to thin and lacks quality care. I got the impression he picks what surgeries he wants and honestly doesn't care. He's brief and you have to ask him a thousand questions to understand your injury. I wish I was referred to a different doctor from the ER, one that cares and doesn't take 6 weeks to finally tell you he won't do surgery. I could have started therapy and had surgery if this was a good doctor that did his due diligence. I would recommend him to anyone. He wasted weeks of my recovery and quality of life and comes off arrogant and no compassion for his patients.
