“He’s the best, been going to him for over 20years!”

Dr O is a great doctor. I have been seeing him for over 20 years, but this past fall something on my back caught his eye as well as something on my chest. Many times in the past, he has removed suspicious looking bits of skin, all as a result of my mother thinking it was “healthy” to get a sunburn each summer! So when he removed these two and sent them to the lab, I was expecting the usual call, everything is fine. This time, it wasn’t, the bit removed from my back was a melanoma. I was stunned, but Dr O said we got it at the very earliest stage and arranged for me to have it removed at Yale. The Doc at Yale told me I was very lucky to have it identified when I did, agreeing that it was at the very early stage, meaning it had definitely not spread.

I came to Dr. Oestreicher nearly 20 years with a severe case of Psoraisis. Having sought treatment at several other dermatologists and hospitals, I felt that my case was incurable. Dr. Oestreicher listened to me, allowing me to explain my previous efforts to eradicate this condition. We hit on a treatment protocol that finally worked. Well organized, professional, competent and compassionate. One of the very few providers where, from the time you enter the practice, there is an obvious emphasis on the patient rather than on the convenience of staff and practitioners. So simple a thing as being on time reflects a pervasive respect for the patients and their schedules. The provider and staff worked as an obviously well experienced team to coordinate an efficient and thorough examination without creating any sense of hurrying or just going through the motions. Conversation was cordial and tailored to the patient’s interests, providing ample opportunity to raise questions or discuss issues. The provider created a welcoming atmosphere which inspired confidence in his professional expertise. All in all, I would rate this experience as excellent.

I had always been skeptic of cosmetic treatment but was interested in learning more about it. I consulted with Dr. Wilder and he took the time to explain the different services and products (ie Juvederm and Botox).
Never once did I feel pressured to have any treatment nor was I given any "hard sell."
I took a few months to think about having treatment then made my first appointment for Juvaderm. It has been over two years since then and I just love the way my face looks!

My husband and I have been patient of Dr. Oestreicher for over 30 years. He has always been a caring person and an extremely thorough doctor. He saved my husband’s life when he found my husband’s melanoma at such an early stage that the surgery, recovery, and long term prognosis was excellent.
