“Very thorough; very considerate.”

Most thorough doctor I've seen pretty much ever, and I mean this in the best way possible. He covered all areas, taking as much time as needed and informing us along the way, instead of just throwing a prescription at us without any insight or background information. He provided us with lots of options, was honest about side effects and cost, and gave us alternatives, which is very appreciated when you're peasants like us. No superfluous treatments, tests, etc. , which is too common. Great doc.

“Solved what every doctor couldn't!!”

After a year of hives three weeks out of every single month and seeing doctor after doctor, Dr. Howland was the first doctor to correctly diagnose me and find a treatment that has worked. “The best doctor (and staff) in the world.”

Dr. Howland is truly the best doctor in the Austin area if not the world. He spends so time with his patients and actually listens to them. He goes over each and every concern. He gives advice and explains the next steps. He remembers all of his patients and you feel like you’ve known him for years. Dr Howland is the only doctor I trust for an accurate diagnosis and the help I need. His office staff is amazing. They fit me in on my teaching schedule and Debbie, a nurse there is amazing.

Dr. Howland is the warmest and the funniest doctor I've had. My first allergy doctor... A happy surprise to find out, he is full of sweet and jolly character! “Focused and thorough exam - Wonderful!”

I just spent about an hour at Dr. Howland's office and most of that time was spent with him. He sat with me and listened to all of my symptoms while he created a plan to asses and treat my problem. He didn't rush me or seem eager to move on to the next patient. I had his undivided attention. How refreshing! I know my issue will be resolved if not with this current plan then with the next one he devises. Thank you Dr. Howland!

“One of the best Doctors I've ever had.”

After years of dealing with cold, distant, impersonal Doctors, Dr. Howland was a revelation. This man has exceptional bedside manner. I brought 2 of my kiddos to get a second opinion on an asthma diagnosis they had received. The dr was great! He spent a lot of time asking questions and listening and explained a lot to me about the issues my kiddos suffer from. I immediately made an appointment for my third kiddo to switch him to Dr Howland as well. His appointment went as great as experienced with my other kiddos. So happy to have found him!

“Thankful to have found Dr. Howland”

I cannot begin to explain what a relief it was to see Dr. Howland today. Every employee I dealt with from the front desk staff to nurses in the back treated me with kindness and caring. Dr. Howland spent a surprisingly large amount of time visiting with me and taking the time to really listen to my history and issues. I left feeling hopeful for the first time in a very long time.

“A rewarding experience!”

I picked Dr. Howland for his excellent reviews. I was even more impressed when he responded to my email the next day. Many doctors just don't do that. In the office, he took his time and ask very thorough questions to know exactly what I was experiencing. He went out of his way to make it all as affordable as possible. His easy-going manner also made the experience enjoyable as any doctor's appointment could be. His staff was also extremely friendly and helpful.

“Where has this doctor been my whole life?!”

After my visit with Dr. Howland, I realized how little attention other doctors pay to their patients during visits. “He takes the time to figure out whats going on.”

He spent the most time with me of any doctor in the last 10 years. It took us a while (and a couple of visits) to figure out what was wrong with me. But each time, he listened and adjusted the plan of action based on my feedback. He continually stays up to date on new medicines and new research.

“Dr. Howland a breath of fresh air compared to the usual”

Personally I am always skeptical when walking into a Doctor's office. You never know if they're going to give you the run around or actually help to find a solution to your medical issues.

Dr. Howland listened to my concerns, educated me, and most of all made me feel like he actually cared whether I got better. Something he said to me during my appointment really sums it up well: "Someone who looks as healthy as you do, should feel that way as well. Let's get you feeling better"

Dr. Howland is a very thorough doctor who spends time listening to and educating his patients I was suffering from chronic hives for more than 6 months and with his help, I am now virtually hive-free! “My miracle worker!”

I call Dr. Howland my Miracle Worker! I've had (bad) asthma all my life with numerous emergency room visits but not since I've been seeing Dr. Howland! Have had asthma since I was very young but has gotten worse since moving to Austin, TX, despite taking medicine like I'm supposed to. My visit w/ Doctor Howland made me wish he was my primary care physician! I'd come in in to have some allergies checked out and he was friendly, kind, and even understanding of my financial constraints!

I have always suffered with allergies. Dr. Howland and his staff are wonderful. They are always available and happy to help. I have been able to enjoy more outdoor activities after starting allergy shots. I recommend Allergy and Asthma Center of Austin to everyone.

“Wonderful, caring listener”

I've been to quite a few doctors who all seemed rushed to diagnose me and get me out the door. Dr. Howland actually listens and gives you the strong sense that we wants to get to the root of the problem. He explores multiple avenues of inquiry but still leaves room for further exploration of any residual issues.

“What an amazing doctor!”

I've been dealing with debilitating headaches, and not only did we go over all of the things allergy wise I can do environmentally and medication wise, but he also has several other ideas about what might be going on that I'm following up on. He's figured out things no other doctor I've seen has, even though I've seen other specialists for migraine He sees me and treats my health as a whole person, which in our medical system is very refreshing.

“Great Visit”

I felt Dr. Howland took an amazing amount of time to figure out what was bothering my allergies. The visit was long, but at the same time probably the most comprehensive visit that I have had in a long time. I am hopeful that my allergies will get better in time with a new regimen.

I went to see Dr. Howland regarding some allergy issues. He was such a nice and knowledgeable person! He was familiar with everything I brought to his attention, and he took the time to explain in detail why I was experiencing these issues. I would definitely recommend him!
