“The staff is very nice and personable. I had several appointments today and my last one was not until 345pm with Dr Cox. The time was 12:15 and they were able to see me within 30mins. which means I did not have to wait. I really appreciate that. ”

“Dr. Cox changed my life!”

This has been my third nasal surgery. Not only was I not able to fully breathe out of the right side of my nose I had a bunch of cosmetic issues as well. After breaking my nose three times over the years I was pretty messed up. My local surgeon did not feel comfortable attempting this surgery after already having it twice and recommended that I drive over 4hrs away to see Dr. Cox. I was very reluctant to make the trip but I was desperate and decided to at least meet with him and hear what he had to say. Not only did he put me at ease from the very first meeting, he explained what my issues were and why they had not been corrected in previous surgeries in a way that I could finally understand. I am sitting here writing this review just two weeks out from surgery literally tearing up because I am so happy. I took my first full breathe out of the right side of my nose in years and it feels amazing. Not only can I breathe perfectly but my nose looks AMAZING! He prepared me for what he was going to "try to accomplish" and after removing the bandages I will tell you that he went above and beyond. He did everything he set out to do and more. I have had these types of surgeries two times in the past and had been disappointed both times. I will tell you that if you need to have corrective and/or cosmetic nose surgery I don't care where you live invest the time and money and get out here and see Dr. Cox. Now that I am on the other side I would have paid double and driven twice as far to get these results. I would recommend Dr. Cox to any and everyone. CALL HIM NOW!!!!!

Dr. Cox repaired a rather large septum perforation and septoplasty. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable. I'm extremely pleased with the results so far still have time before we can consider the repair a success but highly confident. I am so glad I was referred out of state to Dr. Cox. “Awesome Experience”

Dr. Cox was fabulous with helping us and our 14 year old son understand and feel comfortable with the surgery he was about to repair an old baseball injury to the nose. He and his staff were great to explain and help us find comfort in the coming surgery. The team kept up their true character of excellence at the hospital pre and post surgery.

The outcome of the surgery was just like discussed and our son finally has air flow through his nose.

I was referred to Dr. Cox by another physician. In advance of surgery, Dr. Cox took a great deal of time to explain all the risks and benefits of surgery. Dr. Cox was an excellent physician. Very confident with very clear and honest expectations.

I was nervous about having such an involved procedure, but the recovery was very manageable, and I'm glad that I had it.

Excellent follow-up post-procedure - above and beyond what was expected.

Dr. Cox takes a lot of pride in his work and seems to enjoy more challenging procedures which translates to nice results for the patient.

10/10 would recommend if even just for a consultation.

“Truly life changing”

I have lived my entire life not being able to breath through my nose. I would wake in the mornings with headaches and be extremely lethargic. “He was amazing.”

I had broken my nose two years prior to my surgery. I would have had the surgery much soon if it was not for insurance reasons and being referred to three different doctors before Dr. C. He told me my septum was 98% deviated. I could not breath on the right side at all and my left side collapsed trying to make up for the other. Looking at my nose there was a slight C shape to it. After my surgery my nose was completely straight. All of the nurses and staff were incredibly kind including Dr Cox.

I cannot speak enough to how incredible a doctor Dr. Cox has been. He exudes top-notch professionalism and knowledge of his field. But above all, from the instant I first met him, I knew he truly cared for me. I have had doctors who seemed disinterested in my care, but Dr. Cox was always so positive with me and genuinely cared for me as a person rather than just a patient. It did not take long for me to trust Dr. Cox with my surgery and his opinions concerning the best route for me regarding repairing trauma related issues as well as my cosmetic desires. Dr. Cox completely rebuilt the entire top half of my ear. He did an amazing job. My ear looks better than I could have possibly imagined. Not only is he an amazing plastic surgeon, but he has the best bedside manners of any doctor Ive ever met. He takes time to explain everything in great detail, and listens to all my concerns. “So helpful!!”

I had been to 30 something doctors in a year and a half, with no for sure care plan for this ulcer in my nose. Dr. Cox, went the extra mile to try and find out what was wrong and then to go ahead and take away the bad tissue and do a skin graft. During that year and a half my pain level had been at a 8 and 9 and 10. My pain level is now at a 0, my nose is a little different, but who cares, I am without pain and can resume my life, a busy life!!!! Thanks for helping me get back to living life

My experience with Dr. Cox and his Staff wast the best. I would give everything that the did for me a 10 out of 1-10 with 10 being the best. “Best experience with the best doctor in Birmingham.”

I came to Dr. Cox a few months ago when I was displeased with the hump I had on my nose. At the consultation, he explained exactly what he could do to correct the hump, gave me all of the information I needed and answered all of my questions in every detail. Two months later after surgery and my nose looks better than I ever thought it could. I am more than satisfied with my results and I could not have asked for a better Surgeon to do the job!

“Amazing Experience! I love my new nose and I CAN BREATHE!!!”

I had been reluctant to have my deviated septum fixed for years because I also wanted to have the shape of my nose corrected as well when having it done, and I had had trouble finding someone to do both that I felt confident and comfortable with. I found out about Dr. Cox, and everything about my experience has been amazing. He and his staff have went above and beyond to make sure I knew what to expect and making sure my experience and my results were even beyond anything I could have expected. “Phenomenal experience from start to finish”

Dr. Cox is a phenomenal surgeon. His diagnosis was carefully done and clearly explained. The surgery was also clearly explained, which avoided any unexpected surprises. He was very considered of my worries about my expected post-op compromised breathing abilities. We ended up using trumpets inside my nose, which gave me great confidence in pursuing the surgery. The nose surgery wet without complication and the post-op healing is better than expected. I never felt any significant pain and can breath so much better now. It was the absolute right decision to get the surgery done. I am very thankful for Dr. Cox's kind and professional service.

Dr. Cox performed septorhinoplasty on my nose in June 2017. The septum was so deformed that my left nostril was completely obstructed. He completely reconstructed the septum, reduced the tip, and gave my nose an overall more feminine appearance. I was never happy with the way my nose looked in profile, but now I love my nose and I can breathe! I didn't know what breathing was actually like until now. Dr. Cox explained all details of the procedure and what to expect for the healing process.

I had Basil Cell skin cancer which resulted in losing my nostril and a portion of my cheek, after it was removed Dr. Cox preformed 3 surgeries on me within 6 weeks. I would highly recommend Dr. Cox as a surgeon. I had a septorhinoplasty, and within one week I looked great and felt great. I did not realize how bad my breathing was until after the surgery, when I could breathe better, even when the splints were still in my nose. Dr. Cox is professional and spends as much time with you as is needed to fully answer all of your questions. And if anyone is nervous about getting splints removed (as I was), it is not painful at all!!

“Deviated septum/ Broken Nose”

I had a very bad deviated septum and my nose was on the left side of my face. Dr. Cox straightened my nose and open up the septum and I was able to breathe a lot better after surgery. When I went back to have the stents removed it was very easy and PAIN FREE! Also Dr. Cox called after surgery to make sure I was okay. Highly Recommend!

Dr. Cox and his staff were very courteous and professional. I had numerous issues with my nose that required specialized skills as I had a hole in my septum. Dr. Cox was recommended by my ENT in Mobile, Al. He was able to repair my hole and later did surgery to correct a deviated septum. After these two surgeries, I can now breath much easier and I get a greater quality of sleep at night. My nose also looks much better cosmetically than prior. I would recommend Dr. Cox and his staff to anyone!!

Dr. Cox completed a septoplasty and turbinoplasty procedure on my nose in December and this was my 3 month follow up appointment (but actually 6 months because of COVID19).
