In the past I would be cautious to voice my concerns, but she has been very assuring and approachable which has allowed me to voice my issues concerning my mental health and overall well-being.

Bethany did an excellent job of preparing for my semiannual checkup. He had reviewed previous visits and made recommendations that seemed appropriate at the time. Her communication skills are excellent.

I recognize that late on Friday might be the biggest risk of an appointment being late. I know you are committed to patient care and that’s why things get later as the day goes on. But this was still a tough situation for me. Bethany called about 70 minutes after my appointment time. It was too late to call the office and let you know I could not make it. And I had a phone appointment with a $150/hr therapist waiting for me to start, paying her for the time I was waiting for my HCAT appointment. So in the end, I had zero time to talk to Bethany. I am not a complainer in general, but I hope you guys can see how that is a bad position to put patients in, and maybe look for a way to resolve that. Like maybe don’t schedule televisits at a time where it could get too late to contact the office. I admit I am a little sad to pay the copay and have my insurance billed for a visit where I was not able to actually discuss anything with my provider due to lateness.

Bethany is great. I love having a younger provider, as her knowledge is fresher and more contemporary. But she has an excellent working relationship with Dr. Calvert, who may as well be a medical god, so she always has a quick reference from someone who's been in the trenches for a while and seen a lot more. Bethany is kind, she truly listens, and she sometimes shares her thought process out loud (as does Dr. Calvert), which I find insightful, as I like to be very involved and informed in my medical care. It can be tricky to get a quick appointment with Calvert because of his popularity, so I am THRILLED that I can often get a same-day or next-day appointment to see Bethany, when it may take me several weeks to get one with Calvert. Thanks, Bethany!
