WMCHealth is the largest provider of mental health and substance use disorder treatment services in the Hudson Valley. The Behavioral Health Center on WMCHealth's flagship Valhalla, New York, campus has been a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral health services in the region for nearly a century. The 101-bed inpatient Center also offers a full spectrum of inpatient, outpatient, community and emergency mental healthcare for children and adults.
As an academic department of psychiatry, we strive to serve our community, provide the most up-to-date treatments, educate and train the mental health professionals of tomorrow and contribute to advancements through clinical research. Our approach integrates a variety of evidence-based treatments to promote overall well-being and address mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders.
The Behavioral Health Center has fully implemented telehealth services, so we're able to serve a critical need across the region, including providing access to behavioral health specialists remotely through our ePsychiatry Program to children in rural areas. Our improvements to crisis care management have resulted in reduced emergency room wait times and faster access to inpatient psychiatric treatment.
