“Tongue tie clipping for newborn”

Dr Ward discharged us from the hospital and was very thorough. We noticed my son had a tongue tie and decided we should have it clipped. Before the quick procedure, Dr Ward fully explained the process, benefits and (minimal) risks. It literally took seconds to do and I was breastfeeding my son in her office within five minutes. I'd 100% recommend Dr Ward for those looking to clip a tongue tie. She super chill yet very upfront and we will definitely be coming back.

I'm always pleased with how engaged Dr. Ward is with each visit -- whether a well-visit or sick-visit. This visit was an annual physical. What I appreciated was Dr. Ward engaging directly with and asking questions of my kids (7 & 9). She then speaks directly to me about what she information she is looking to get from the answers. She also describes the full body exam and various indicators she is looking for. I learn a bit more each annual exam.

We have been with Dr. Ward for 13 years, and stopped using her only because we moved to Westchester. Working with Dr. Ward over the years has been an absolute pleasure. “My daughter calls Dr. Ward on her play phone every night”

I used to live a couple of blocks away but have since moved 30 mins away in the Bronx. I still come see Dr Ward because of the the way she takes such great care of both of my kids. Sabrina is the best - remembers everything about my terrible 2 and could not be more patient. The ladies in the reception area always hold onto terrific samples for me and even call me to let me know they've got a stockpile for me. I can't imagine a better Pediatrician and a better run office.

Dr. Ward is an excellent pediatrician. She provides professional care to her patients. She takes the time to address a parent's concerns and address any issues. When my son had feeding issues as an infant she was able to diagnosis the issue early and we were able to relieve my son of further pain and discomfort. I would recommend Dr. Ward to everyone. Our family travels over 30 miles to continue care with Dr. Ward because of how great she is with our children.

Dr. Ward is patient and professional, she really listens to both the parent and her patient. She always makes time for her patients when not feeling well and getting an appointment on the same day has never been an issue. I have always been comfortable with Dr Ward. I know that she will spend enough time with my sons, really examining their physical needs. She has been very good about the transitions from one age to the next, adjusting to the boys as they grow. She not only watches and takes care of their body, but is always able to answer questions.

We had our annual checkup today with Dr. Ward. I have 3 boys ages 1 to 9 and they love to go to the doctor. We have been going to her for the last 8 years and even though it's no longer geographically convenient we would not switch because she is like family to us. She took time today to address all of our concerns, makes time to answer questions, and genuinely cares for my kids. We didn't feel rushed whatsoever. “An amazing caregiver!”

We have been with Dr. Ward for 5 years and cannot imagine visiting another pediatrician. She always takes time to listen to our concerns and answers every one of our questions, no matter how silly they might seem in hindsight. Her demeanor is very warm and and loving, while at the same time confident and composed.

My son had a tongue tie and not only did Dr. Ward immediately squeeze us in her busy schedule, but she also did a fantastic job in not only dealing with the tongue tie but also giving me tricks for better breastfeeding. As the mom of a newborn, breastfeeding is one of the most stressful things and Dr. Ward was a great listener, motivator and teacher. I found her to be knowledgeable and and super empowering. “The most attentive pediatrician in Manhattan!”

Over the course of the last 14 years, our children have seen at least 7 different pediatricians in various office, downtown and uptown. Dr. Ward is far and away our very favorite. She is warm, caring, attentive, listens to the child, and treats the child with the utmost respect. She is reachable, never rushed, knowledgeable, and direct. There is usually a long wait in her office, but this is surely because she devotes so much time, focus, and attention on each patient.

“Absolutely incredible and rare to find.”

Our children have been visiting Dr. Ward for the past six years. You can read all of the parental books in the world and get the greatest advice but until you experience firsthand what it is to be parent, nothing comes close. We are so luckily to have Dr.Ward as a pediatrician for our children. She was so calm and collective in what was a whirlwind of a process during the initial days of our first child. We spent half a day there and came back the next day. She takes the time to listen, understand what is happening, and gives the most honest advice. We have not once felt rushed or ignored. Dr. Ward spends as much time with you as you need, she returns calls on evenings and weekends. We have travel over an hour to visit her office and on the way there we think maybe it’s time for us to find someone closer, on the way back we both realize there is no one that we would trust more.

My two sons have been seeing Dr Ward since infancy and birth respectively and we are so lucky to have had her care for 11 years and counting. Dr Ward treats kids as people with agency and will give advice and options rather than instructions. She is great at explaining medical issues in digestible terms so kids and parents can make informed choices. We also value her emphasis on preventative steps we can take to avoid problems later in adolescence - and keeping medication and vaccines to the essentials. Best of all Dr Ward makes wellness visits fun and has a knack of putting kids and parents at ease when shots are needed l or have to make some hard choices. “Superb care from Dr ward, comprehensive with a gentle and kind touch”

We have known Dr Ward since the day our first was born. She is a fantastic doctor with excellent clinical skills, caring and always gracious to me and my children. My children, who are teens now are very comfortable and communicate well with Dr Ward given the safe and warm environment she has created. She is always responsive in a timely matter and thoughtful in her responses. The staff is kind and the office is a very positive environment. She is an excellent doctor and person.

“We bless the day Dr. Ward came into our lives”

We met Dr. Ward as the pediatrician in charge when my oldest daughter was born and before being released into the world. I had such a hard time finding a pediatrician but from that first moment I knew I wanted no one else but Dr. Ward! From that first day, she has been caring and kind, very knowledgeable and patient; she and her team are simply there for us! We fully trust her advise and she has been a true sparing partner in bringing up our children; always resolving health issues but also very helpful when navigating from lactation issues over terrible twos to now teenage years. Dr. Ward has been my son's pediatrician since he was two days old. He is 8 now. She has cared for my son and my three nephews collectively for the last 20 years. She is more like family than simply a doctor to our boys! She is kind, empathic, honest, patient and spends quality time to ensure all of her patients needs are fully addressed during their visits. “A doctor's doctor”

Dr. Cathy Ward's sharp intellect and years of experience allow her to make very thoughtful and effective treatment plans to address all of the issues that confront a pediatrician. She has a straightforward but gentle demeanor with her patients--and with parents as well.

My husband and I are both physicians and we have full faith in her decision making and actively seek out her recommendations when our child is not well. Our child's annual well child visits are incredibly informative as she addresses issues that are likely to arise in each upcoming year proactively. She is an excellent communicator and our visits never feel rushed. Her office staff is accommodating and kind. I hope she can be our family pediatrician for the duration.

“Very knowledgeable doctor and friendly office”

My son has been a patient of Dr Ward’s for 15 years , since he was an infant. He was a preemie and Dr Ward helped us nurture him into a healthy boy. Dr Ward talks to our son as if he is an adult , explaining every procedure and illness in detail , giving him agency and an opportunity to ask questions. She is very attending and knowledgeable, our family of doctors trust fully trust Dr Wards expertise.
The office staff are very friendly, most of them have been working there for many years and know our family well, recognize us even thought we go just for annual physicals and an occasional sick visit.

“Best Doctor and staff ever!”

We have been seeing Dr. Ward since my daughter was born in 2016 and I can definitely say that Dr. Ward and her staff are amazing.
She always explains things to us patiently, makes my daughter comfortable, listening to thousands of questions we have! She always smiles even when she had a busy day! She surely takes care of my daughter but me too, because she always clears any doubts or concerns I have. I couldn’t ask for a better Doctor for my daughter Sofia!
I trust her and most importantly Sofia trust her.

“A wonderful pediatrician”

From when we first met Dr. Ward, we knew that we had found a fabulous doctor and a kindred spirit. Someone we could trust immensely. It's hard to believe that that was over 18 years ago, and our eldest child is soon to phase out of being in the pediatric phase of life. One of the hardest parts would be to stop entrusting Dr. Ward with her medical care. But, as I write this, I realize that until she kicks us out of the practice (she won't), we will continue to consider her our child's primary doctor. Dr. Ward is not only smart and caring, she is someone who is completely focused on her patients' best interest. She won't give antibiotics when they're not necessary. She is candid and honest with patients big and small. She is someone that you never need to second guess because you can have confidence that she knows what she is talking about (or, she'll admit if it's a new challenge and she needs to research it). As you can tell, we couldn't ask for more in a pediatrician.

“Dr. Ward is an absolutely phenomenal pediatrician!”

We have been seeing Dr. Ward the last 7 years (since our daughter was born), and have been impressed with her each and every time. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, calm, and pragmatic. She is careful to check for all the possible things that could be behind symptoms, and makes excellent diagnoses. She is quick to prescribe medication when it's truly needed, yet does not to over-prescribe which we think is a great approach for our child. She is also incredibly responsive when we have urgent medical questions. Dr. Ward is also really great with kids - our daughter loves going to see her! In a nutshell, we feel incredibly lucky to have Dr. Ward as our pediatrician and we very highly recommend her to other families!!

“She is by far the BEST!”

We have two sons, 18 and 16 who have had Dr. Ward as their pediatrician since the hour they were born. She is by far the most caring, well educated, honest and thorough physician. She takes her time to explain every detail to both the parent and the child. No question ever goes unanswered and she follows everything up with facts and most current research. We never feel rushed like with other Dr offices. If I could take my boys to her as adults I would :)

I would need days to summarize the amount of good things I have to say about Dr. Ward. Both of our daughters have been going to Dr. Ward since they were a few days old. They are 11 & 12 years old now. Dr. Ward engages with our daughters in a thoughtful, gentle manner. We found Dr Ward after moving to the uws.
We have been seeing her for the past year. She is very very kind, always listens to our concerns and takes the time to explain everything, we have never felt rushed and my daughter loves to ask questions and Dr Ward always had an answer for her.
My daughter had 3 pediatricians before Dr Ward and I’m upset we didn’t have her from newborn.
Honestly I can’t even find the words to describe what a great person and doctor she is.
The office staff is also fantastic! Which is a plus .

Dr Ward has seen all three of our children since birth and I trust her implicitly. She is clear and helpful with suggestions and thorough in every visit. I never feel rushed when we see her and she takes her time to talk to my kids and listen to anything they want to tell her. “Amazing Dr Ward!”

Dr Ward is an exceptional pediatrician and person! And BiShe has always had expert guidance for both of my children with every emergency, injury, condition or illness we have faced. When one of my children had a rare condition that required an immediate ER visit, she was quick to identify it late on a Friday evening in August, getting us in to see her and then into an ER for scans the same evening. She has also made wonderful referrals to some of the best ranked specialists when needed.

Her office staff is incredibly responsive and able to work in sick visits or other care quickly as well as all forms and other administrative matters. Their follow up is also wonderful especially compared with other pediatricians and practices that we have had. No matter how routine a matter might seem, they are always follow up to make sure everything has resolved as expected.

In addition to being thoughtful, detailed, skilled and kind, Dr Ward and team are also just wonderful people!

“The best pediatrician hands down”

I found Dr. Ward after leaving a large practice in Manhattan where I felt like my children were just a number to the physicians there. Dr. Ward has been the exact opposite and such a breath of fresh air.

Dr. Ward takes the time to listen carefully to parents. She has provided thoughtful and personalized care for my kids and I have the utmost faith in her clinical judgement. Her concierge option is worth every penny.

“Thee Absolute Best!”

We have been with Dr. Ward for almost 5 years and there aren't enough words to describe how awesome she is! She takes her time with us, asks questions to get to know the kids, and answers any all of my questions thoroughly. We have been to other doctors in the past because of insurance issues (EEK!!) and I made a point to get an insurance that she accepted because the others didn't even compare. She's just so welcoming, understanding, thorough, and knows her stuff!

“excellent care from birth”

We have been going to Dr Ward since the birth of our daughter almost 10 years ago. Our 6.5 yo son is also a patient. She has an awesome bedside manner and is always willing to spend time with us to discuss any questions or concerns. She is great at providing detailed explanations of her diagnosis. The only criticism is that her office staff is just OK, not at the amazing level of Dr Ward, and that due to her willingness to spend time with patients the wait times can get excessive.

Dr Ward has been my children's paediatrician since birth (she actually had no choice as I was ready to camp outside her practice!) We would never consider going anywhere else. My daughters think she is super cool - primarily due to her bedside manner. She has spoken to them with respect from the moment they could understand her. She is always there for parents even on those days when anxiety takes over rational thought. She makes sure that each step for treatment is understood. She is straight talking - there is no situation where you have to try and decipher what she is telling you. She will always follow up to make sure everything is OK. We love that drugs are not always her first reaction to an illness. It helps that she has a great sense of humour. The fact that she finds foster homes for cats and kittens, combined with being a former Airforce pilot just adds to her "coolness" ratings! We love her. We truly feel that Dr Ward and her staff are a part of our family.

We have been seeing Dr. Ward since the day my son was born --over 4.5 years ago and we can't rave enough about her. At every doctor appointment, she takes the time to listen to our concerns, asks us probing questions and provides us with her diagnosis which is usually spot on. We recommend Dr. Ward to all our friends and family. Sometimes the office wait can be a little long, but once it is your turn you have her complete undivided attention which is so important for first time parents. Her staff is also wonderful! “Amazing and relieving experience”

Our baby is four days old and we're one day out of the hospital. After a rough night and problems with breastfeeding, we came to Dr. Ward because of a tongue tie. She went above and beyond the actual procedure and spent a long time with us showing us techniques and giving us advice. My wife has been having a very hard time and for her this was life changing. Dr. Ward turned the experience of breastfeeding from stressful to hopeful and easier. Her attitude is relaxing and very comforting and we feel very lucky to have had our new son under her care. We've been patients of Dr. Ward for 6.5 years, through the birth of two kids. She is a phenomenal pediatrician and just a wonderful human being. She's given us excellent counsel through breastfeeding issues, countless high fevers, stomach bugs, strange rashes, suggested effective discipline strategies, you name it. She explains complex things very well, and recently gave us critical insight that allowed us to make a decision about surgery after two conflicting opinions from specialists. She always gives us as much time as we need for our questions, and we always leave with answers, a clear path forward and peace of mind. So very thankful for this diagnosis, if it wasn't for her, our daughter may have gone thru puberty without reaching her full growth potential and we would have never known, or known too late. Dr. Ward has been caring for my daughter since the day after her birth. My daughter is now a healthy 17 year old who just went off to her freshman year in college. We were lucky enough to be recommended to Dr Ward with our oldest who is now 12. She’s the one for both our boys and I definitely think our family would be lost without her. She’s not only insanely smart but so personal and remembers every details of both your children and you as a family.

I only feel better when Dr. Ward tells me it’s going to be okay because without her stamp of approval I feel lost! She will always make time for you and have her undivided attention during every appointment. She’s also AMAZING with the shots. So fast and light handed that my boys are dreading when they’re older and will have to have a different doctor do it for them! Even though we moved further away we didn’t leave the office and honestly, I would drive hours for our appointments with her.

Dr. Ward is amazing! I took my daughter to get her ears pierced and was so impressed by Dr. Ward’s attention and ability to listen. At that time, she wasn't our pediatrician, but I switched to her practice right away. She is warm, empathetic, and my kids actually look forward to their visits. Dr. Ward is always available to answer any medical questions I have, even late at night, and her diagnoses are spot on without being alarmist. She’s attentive to my kids' asthma needs and takes her time answering our questions, which I really appreciate.

Nina at the front desk is fantastic too. We’ve always been able to get appointments that fit our schedule, including sick visits. Sometimes we have to wait to see Dr. Ward, but that’s okay because she spends quality time with each patient. Even after moving out of state, Dr. Ward is still our pediatrician, and we adore her!

We've been blessed to have Dr. Ward care for our kids since they were born, and she has walked with us through some unique medical challenges. I've noticed that she always takes her time with patients and their caregivers, including outside of her usual work hours. My daughter had a bad stomach virus. Dr. Ward listened to us, she gave us steps to follow, and a plan if those steps didn’t work. Thankfully my daughter felt better shortly after our visit.

Dr. Cathy Ward has taken care of our son for 20 years since he was born in St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital (now Mt. Sinai West) until the present. We dealt with our son's surgery, developmental delays, early intervention, and special education classes in the school years, all with Dr. Ward's support. We are living in Queens and our son is in college, and we continue to see Dr. Ward because she's kind, caring, patient, a good listener, answers questions, and never rushes you. She's quick and gentle with taking blood and giving shots. She discusses nutrition and diet as health prevention and doesn't push medication. Her office is small, with pleasant staff, and in a great location.

“The Best Pediatrician in UWS”

Dr. Ward and her staff are amazing people. They are always so polite and accommodating. No illness is too small. Their willingness to listen and thoroughly diagnose is exactly what I was looking for. I truly appreciate their bedside manners and follow-up check-ins. It means so much for me who is a mom of two kids. Youngest being a toddler.

In simple can’t say anything negative about this facility.
