Dr. Oates is a quality dentist, and I would suggest him to anyone seeking dental work in the Socorro area. Upon my request, he went above and beyond the schedule tasks one day to give me a good X-ray of my wisdom teeth. I wasn't having them removed yet, but I was concerned that my roots might intersect my mandibular nerve. I was right, and his help put me at ease. My only complaint is that Medicaid only covers fillings for some of my tooth damage, which are a very temporary solution. Don't think he can do anything about that though.

“A Great Doctor with a Wicked Tongue”

I have been going to Dr. Oates for about 5 years now, and I can attest to his ability. He is great at what he does, and his staff is attentive and intelligent. The only major issue I see for people is his sense of humor, which if you are in the mood for it, is hilarious and biting. If you are not, it can be grating and worrysome. But, perhaps, that is part of his technique, to make one focus on the humor while they are being worked on. Still, I can highly recommend his work.
