I am not sure I really understood why it was necessary to have the procedure but I am always overwhelmed by medical terms and physician offices. I will read the pamphlet!

“I needed emergency surgery to remove a large varicose vein in my left leg”

My family doctor referred me to Dr. Rossi‘s surgical center on a Friday afternoon. I did not realize it was on an emergency basis but Dr. Rossi saw me early the very next Monday morning and scheduled me for surgery that afternoon. I suffer from anxiety and when Dr. Rossi attempted to explain what needed done, I told him I was not able to listen to all of the details but I trusted him to take care of the situation. I had very large varicose veins in my left leg that had become infected and filled with blood clots that caused me to go to the ER the week before in severe pain. It was in the follow up visit to my family doctor, as suggested by the ER staff, that caused me to realize I needed immediate attention. Dr. Rossi and his staff are the best! In talking with a friend after my surgery, he told me that previous to the surgery he could not look at my legs because they were so gross looking. We met with friends last night and I was actually showing off my new legs.

Everyone from the office staff to John Rossi himself has a wonderful bedside manner that you feel right away! I never felt worried or anxiety for the procedures I was having done. They explained everything step by step. More doctors need to follow their bedside manner. Alot of doctors are missing this very basic way of common respect.

I first saw Dr. Rossi on an emergency basis. My family doctor realized that I had a severe vein problem on a Friday afternoon and Monday morning Dr. Rossi was performing surgery to remove the vein. After that initial surgery I still needed to have four veins shut down that were not allowing blood to flow in the proper direction. Dr. Rossi explained why I needed to have these veins shut down and what he would do to perform the procedures.

I was warned of the potential problems with my vein years earlier and when it clotted after a flight Dr Rossi was there with a clear, decisive, corrective plan.
