“No Compassion”
Dr. Heman-Ackah showed little compassion for a senior patient who was a recovering cancer patient and was apparently experiencing breathing problems in Dr. Heman-Ackah's office. The receptionist showed no concern either. She watched the patient in the waiting area suffering from breathing problems and made no attempt to get the doctor for help until I requested several times for her to seek the doctor's help for this patient who was clearly in physical distress. Dr. Heman-Ackah told this patient since she exceeded her grace period time, she would have to reschedule. I gave up my appointment time to this patient so that she could get immediate attention. Dr. Heman-Ackah told me that I had to reschedule my appointment because she would not have the time to see me if I didn't stick with my original time scheduled. Although this patient needed Dr. Heman-Ackah's immediate assistance, Dr. Heman-Ackah walked back into her office and started playing with her medical equipment instead of providing the medical assistance that the patient needed. Stay away from this doctor, and her incompetent medical receptionist/assistant. Neither one of them cares about the patient. It is a very unfriendly office. I requested my co-pay be refunded, and I told them that I will not be returning for services from Dr. Heman-Ackah.
