ECU Health Family Medicine Center - Sports Medicine

ECU Health Sports Medicine, located in the ECU Health Family Medicine Center, specializes in the treatment of muscle, joint and soft tissue problems in patients of all ages. The team includes four sports medicine physicians, one sports medicine fellow and three athletic trainers that provide care in the clinic and at events for local athletic programs, like Pitt Community College and Pitt County Schools. 

Providers at this location specialize in the non-surgical treatment of conditions like:

• Acute and chronic joint pain


• Acute and chronic illnesses in athletes (e.g. mononucleosis, asthma)


• Carpal tunnel syndrome and other peripheral nerve issues


• Concussion


• Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains


• Overuse injuries like tendonitis and stress fractures

To establish care, call 252-744-4611 and ask for the Sports Medicine clinic. Unless required by your insurance plan, you do not need a referral from your primary doctor to make an appointment.
