Dr. Vassallo and his staff are truly awesome They are patient, attentive and make sure that your visit runs as smoothly as the process for checking in. They answer questions and the office manager is always available to assist. The nurses and medical assistants are a pleasure. Amicable personalities overall. But must importantly the staff is compassionate. Dr. Vassallo is passionate about his specialty. He is knowledgeable with excellent bedside manner and patient rapport. I recommend him and the Brooklyn Heights office to everyone.

“No exaggeration, it was mind blowing and hopefully life altering”

“Relief—a plan to attack my allergies!”

The doctor was very direct, which I appreciated. He told me he needed tests, they were done immediately, and thoroughly. After seeing the results he knew he’d have to spend some time talking to me about a plan of action, and so he made sure he slotted that time to do so. He asked clear questions, explained why he was asking, and presented a detailed, clear treatment plan. After years of avoiding allergists and assuming I could not be helped, I was thrilled to be proven wrong. Allergy treatments have come a long way since the last time I tried, over 20 years ago!

Allergy shots for severe seasonal allergies is a major commitment, but so worth it--within one allergy season we saw enormous improvement. Dr. Vassallo and the allergy nurses and office staff are all amazing. Dr. Vassallo clearly explained the process and at each visit the staff is helpful, and frankly do a great job balancing answering your questions, with getting you in and out since the appointments for shots are frequent.

Dr. Colen was clear in communicating what she was doing to my ears and what she was seeing; I always appreciate that as a patient. The hearing test was handled quickly and that doctor (Dr. Hartman, I believe) was also clear and communicated what was happening, what was being tested. Although there was no fix for my issue (leftover Covid inflammation), I also appreciated that she didn't try to throw some antibiotics at me. Positive experience. Thank you!

My experience this morning was very pleasant. When I arrived, I signed in. I had completed all the documents a few days before virtually, which was extremely helpful. I didn’t have to fill out any documents at all. When I arrived the office staff was very friendly. the ENT was down to earth and listened to my concerns. when I went for the hearing test with the audiologist, She provided me with exactly what was going to happen and clear directions on what I was supposed to do. There was not a lot of waiting around time which I really love because I hate wasting time sitting in an office, but everything seem to move very quickly and on time .I am definitely satisfied and would totally recommend this office location to any friends and family. Thanks again!

“Kind, efficient, listened and soled my problem”

I had been having repeated nosebleeds that were becoming more frequent and heavier. This is a common problem in general, but not for me. Dr. Russo listened to my account of the past two weeks. He didn't cut me off or interrupt. He understood what was bothering me and asked a number of relevant questions. He treated me gently and quickly, minimal pain or discomfort. My problem was solved and Dr. Russo explained how to do follow-up self care.

“Organized and efficient office”

I was running late due to heavy traffic and called to state I was running behind schedule. Not only did the worker on the phone accommodate a shift to my appointment, she also made sure that I wouldn’t miss my audiology appointment that I e pressed was important. The iPads are east to register your info into and the staff were friendly and I didn’t have to wait long at all. The building is beautiful as well. Overall 10/10!

I had chronic ENT infections due to severe allergies for years and years before my PCP suggested it could be allergies. Dr. Vassallo turned that all around with a spot-on diagnosis and the right brew for my allergy shots. Now I can't even remember the last time I had an ENT infection. I just wish I'd found him sooner!!

“I finally felt like there was hope in getting my allergies under control!”

Dr. Vassallo was absolutely wonderful today! He was thorough with my visit and took his time to explain to me all that was going on with my allergies. I was recommended to try his office by another patient of his who is a friend of mine, and I am so glad I decided to try him out. I transferred from a different allergist where I had a unpleasant experience for many months and in a way this was my last hope to try and get my allergies under control. To put it lightly, this was a breath of fresh air. From the minute I walked in, the office staff was friendly and worried about my confidentiality and brought me in the back to check me in as a first time patient. I also especially appreciated how while I was undergoing the super uncomfortable allergy skin test, Dr Vasallo distracted me by going over my chart instead of making me wait in agony. He had great bedside manner and was very professional. I look forward to finally kicking these allergies with a doctor that I can seem to trust.

Only downside of this visit was the wait. I came 30 min early and left 90 min after arrival. Fully understand things get backed up. You can only do so much in an over burdened system. Dr. Vassallo is worth the wait anyways. Clear explanations and laid out the plan in an easy to follow manner. He's very friendly and answered all my questions thoroughly. Team did their best to make up for the delay with quick intake and a short wait time once I had been taken back. Much appreciated.

I had a great experience with Dr Vassalo. He is a great listener. He allows you time to explain your concerns and actually face you and make eye contact while listening. Which is good. He then proceeds to explain his findings, his treatment plan while making sure that you understand. Nowadays doctors give more attention to their computer than to their patient. Which was absolutely not the case. The staff was also very knowledgeable. And the clinic is SUPER clean.

“Great experience — as always!”

I'm a longtime patient at ENT and Allergy, but this was my first visit with Dr. Vastola. My visit was great — Dr. Vastola quickly assessed and addressed my problem. He suggested a follow-up hearing test to the one I had a year-and-a-half ago and compared and explained the two sets of results. He suggested a follow-up visit in six months to keep on top of things. I'm looking forward to my next visit with Dr. Vastola! I highly recommend him!

My son needed a procedure that had been rough and painful for him with a previous provider. Dr. Yao was so thoughtful and gentle and earned my son’s trust fully before (painlessly) administering the treatment. She spent lots of time with us and talked through the protocol and our future options. We both felt well-cared for! My highest recommendation.

Dr Francisca Yao asked spot on questions and really listened to my responses—she was able to diagnose and treat my major issue in one visit.... on my follow up she showed her skills with the instruments she used to examine me—she was gentle and told me everything I was going to experience and feel. She gave me two medication options and swiftly ordered one for me. She wrote up a very complete report—a very fine Doctor and healer!!! Consummate professional—- I would well recommend!!

“She exemplifies what every doctor should be.”

You enter the reception and are immediately greeted by cheerful and welcoming assistants at the front desk like Shakira. After a brief filling out of some info (which she was more than happy to assist with on a laptop), there was little to no wait time before Tiffany, a nurse escorts you into the exam room and puts you completely at ease with her warm, gentle caring manner. Whike you wait for a few moments &(that’s moments) for the doctor, as you look around you’re amazed at how immaculate the room is. I sincerely wish I could go to Dr. Yao for everything - not just for my ears. She and her staff restore your faith in the medical profession in what can sadly be a dismal experience. A fabulous place! Run don’t walk - Dr. Yao and her staff are gens!

“Dr. Jack Russo is simply one of the best doctors I’ve ever had.”

I was referred to Dr. Russo from Mount Sinai Brooklyn Heights for a fine needle aspiration of my thyroid nodule. It turned out to be thyroid cancer and Dr. Russo lead me through the process and also conducted a successful seven hour surgery to remove my thyroid. Everyone I talk to you about Dr. Russo seems to be a big fan of his. I’m glad he was my surgeon though this difficult time.

“The best Dr. experience I ever had!”

Dr. Russo is an expert in his field. He removed my thyroid. My healing was short my scar almost invisible. Dr. Russo values his patients' time. If your appointment is 9:30am, you will be seen before or exactly at 9:30am. Dr. Russo's Physician Assistant, D'Marley is brilliant. She emailed me all forms, made all calls to my doctors, hospital and insurance. The front desk staff are professional and polite and check-in is a breeze. You can pre-check in online or use the tablet they provide you for easy check-in. Overall, this has been the best doctor, patient & staff experience I've ever had. I wish every doctor's office could learn from Dr. Russo's Clinic, Patient & Medical Model! Thank you so much for such a positive experience. It truly means so much to a patient when they are sick and in need of medical care to have a doctor and his staff to genuinely care about every single aspect of the patients' experience.
