From the moment Dr. Sporter walked into the room, he was high energy and made me feel immediately comfortable. I was referred to Dr. Sporter by a trusted friend, and I have gone on to refer Dr. Sporter to others. The level of compassion exhibited by Dr. Sporter and his team is honestly hard to come by. You can tell he truly likes his work, his team enjoys working with him, he keeps up with developments in his field, and importantly, understands the mental/emotional experiences that accompany the often chronic physical symptoms bringing patients into his office. Dr. Smouha literally saved my life. I suffered from debilitating vertigo, sometimes 3 to 4 times a week. Dr. Smouha felt he could help me with a gentamicin shot. I took his advice and got my life back. I have not had a vertigo episode in over 2-1/2 years. He is so knowlegeable, listens to everything you have to say and you can see him thinking before he answers. I have complete faith in Dr. Smouha!

“I've been to many of your Drs and he was another great experience!”

Dr. Smouha has been a provider to me for some years now. I won’t say who the other dr. was , but after 10 years with him ( he retired) I was referred by that dr. to Dr. Smouha. From that first day forward this man changed my life and gave me the gift of hearing after almost 35 plus years of deafness. Dr Smouha takes time to listen, ask questions and gets into the conversation of the point of the visit. This is not my first time at the office. He did my surgery a few years back and prefer to see Dr Smouha because he understands what’s going on, and I depend on his advice more than any other doctor I’ve seen as an Ornithologist.

For the past 7years I’ve been living in misery due to the fact that I can’t breathe easily because of nasal congestion, swollen adenoids, palates and turbinates. I’ve visited different ENT offices and none could figure out what to do while some were too afraid to treat me surgically because of my hypertension & weight. However , I’ve only visited ENT&A fifth Ave of Brooklyn and Manhattan for less than a year and where I needed surgery to correct my chronic nasal congestion.Now, after the surgery my breathing experience is like a new born baby experiencing fresh air without any nasal congestion for the very first time

“There is no other place that I would recommend to anybody”

From my first meeting that I had with the doctor, or with anyone in that office, I felt like I am the only patient being treated and there is nobody else..
Dr. Raithatha, his knowledge, his experience, his skills, and above all his manners! The way he listens to you, the way he takes you through the whole process, explaining your situation in every detail (without looking at his watch, as if to say, your time is up). The way he showed me and lead me through my cat-scans explaining every detail, making sure that I understand every smallest detail, it was amazing. His surgical coordinator Denise Corneto! She is something else! No matter what time or day it was, she responded to my emails, as if she was literally sitting at her computer and waiting for me. She answered me every time with compassion and feeling.
The entire office staff, they all make you feel so comfortable, willing to go the extra mile for you, anytime any day.

“My best experience with a doctor”

Dr. R was patient and gave me as much time as I needed. He not only reviewed the CT scans with me but went through them with me one by one yo show me exactly what they showed. He did the same for the endoscopy he did. I did a balloon sinuplasty with him, he was very patient and skilled. Things are going well 6 months later. “ENT and Allergy - The place to go. Love It!”

Dr. Raithatha was pleasant. He greeted me in a nice professional manner and listened to my concerns and diagnosed my condition accordingly. I did not have to wait long to see him. His support staff was also genuinely nice and friendly. I was prescribed medication to relieve my symptoms and given a follow up visit. I had seen Dr. Raithatha in previous years, so it was not hard for me to return back to ENT and Allergy to be seen by him again. Its also nice to know that there is a place one can go to that specializes in ears, nose or throat issues as well as allergies without having to be boggled down in a regular doctor's office where multiple health matters are addressed. ENT and Allergy makes it convenient. Thanks Dr. Raithatha for your services.

I felt confident in his assessment of my condition and that he was recommending the proper treatment and expected outcomes. I just wish there had been more time taken with me. I understand it was busy but I did feel like just another patient walking through the door. The procedure was a bit nerve wracking and would have liked more explanation on what to expect, that I may experience pain, and that maybe to take tylenol before the injection would be a good idea so as to not be in so much pain. I would have also appreciate a staff member , be it a PA or RN or NA , whatever, staff with me through the first 2-5 uneasy minutes post injection. I was extremely dizzy which they said I would be and I knew it would pass but having someone there just sitting with me would have been so , so appreciated. I would have really been a much more patient-focused experience.

“Dr Smouha and his entire staff were kind, efficient and professional”

Dr Smouha is a gentlemen and suggested I take gabapentin and Maalox and return 30 days which I will do.
I have a deep earache, inflammation every time i eat and drink and a constant salty metallic taste coming from the top left side of my mouth.
I trust Dr Smouha and I will do exactly what he said. Hopefully if my condition persists I will get new images and some lab work.

“A great Doctor, is skilled and with true expertise in his specialty”

I first encountered Dr. Smouha for a problem that was concerning to me. A Dr. I’d seen the previous day injured my ears which were bleeding overnight. He quickly checked the ears and helped to ensure they would heal by prescribing medication. He saw me again shortly after to check them. I have seen him yearly since then, and he always checks my ears, has an audiologist test my hearing and makes me feel good about the hearing I have.

“Great Surgeon!”

Dr. Godin pestered me for years to get rid of the cyst on my vocal cord. I didn't want to deal with it despite my throat being hoarse all the time and my throat being fatigued. After 5 years of treating it with some success it finally got to a point I couldn't deal with it anymore and I got the surgery. It's probably one of the best decisions I ever made. My throat feels better. My voice is back and the surgery wasn't that bad. Dr. Godin did an amazing job. The not talking for 5 days after the surgery was challenging but was definitely doable and a great social experiment. I'm attaching the before and after photos. You will see the cyst on the right photo and the left photo taken a week after surgery nothing there. Thank you Dr. Godin for the great work.

“I'm still breathing easy a year later.”

It's been a year since Dr. Raithatha performed endoscopic surgery on all of my sinuses. It was a big procedure that's had a huge impact on my quality of life. Àfter 30 years of chronic congestion and sinus infections, not to mention failed turbinate procedures, it's such a relief to be able to breath comfortably through my nose.

Dr. Raithatha was honestly one of the best doctors I have ever had to deal with. Went in for a consultation initially, and it was decided surgery was probably my best option. This was something I had expected, but just to make it 100% sure, we ran tests and excluded any other possibility before making the decision to go forward with surgery.

He is very warm, gives amazing explanations of every last thing he will be doing and makes the experience as pleasant as can be, considering it is surgery! I'm not typically the type to give reviews, but I hope this will help anyone in the future to make the decision as to trust Dr. Raithatha. The process itself, no fun! But that is why it was very nice to have a doctor in your corner that you know is looking out for your best interest.

“It was a great experience because he made my surgery a success.”

I am thankful that a great surgeon like Dr. Raithatha. When he sees the fear on my face and calms me down and talks the through what and how is going to happen. He explains everything thoroughly with all possible complications that may occur but he explains that he will give his all to avoid all of that. It was a possibility that only 95% of the papilloma will get removed because of where it was sitting at. Raithatha was able to remove the entire tumor. I was relieved with joy. I'm still in recovery but I can breathe much better. I am very grateful. Dr. Raithatha is an amazing doctor that cares about his patience and is available when needed. Thank Dr. Raithatha and the whole ENT staff.

“Worth the Travel”

We traveled about an 1 hour or so to see Dr. Raithatha on a referral from our long time ENT doctor. The doctor was very personable and friendly. He listen to my daughter and explained everything throughly. He took his time to explain everything and also knew our ENT history before we divulged any information. You can tell that Dr. Raithatha takes pride in his profession and loves to help anyone that walks into his office to see him.

“Complete and Professional Services throughout”

I have a nasal problem which dates back 50 years.
I went to Dr. Raithatha at ENT and Allergy with the hope of
relieving my nasal blockage.
Dr. Raithatha gave me a complete endoscopic exam, suggested
best case treatment and therapy and two weeks later performed
successful in-office surgery. 90 minutes after the surgery began,
I felt wonderfully as was able to walk home with no discomfort. Five stars all the way.

“Dr. Raithatha is empathetic, thorough, and experienced”

Dr. Raithatha knows noses. I learned that 95% of sinus infections are viral! I feel much less anxious about my recurrent sinus issues and allergies because he thoroughly examined my sinuses, showed me a recorded video of what he saw and explained the different parts of my nasal cavities, and answered all of my questions. I now understand the “what and why,” which helps patients better participate in our own health care.

“covered multiple ear and nose issues”

The doctor clearly explained to me what I'd been experiencing certain ear-related symptoms, and offered some recommendations for immediate changes in nose spray with a follow-up with an allergist to more accurately pinpoint what's irritating and swelling the turbans in my nose.

Additionally, the Audiologist was extremely helpful in checking my hearing and discussing options for custom-fit musician's ear plugs.
