Dr. Lebo reviewed my chart thoroughly, spent unhurried time with me, asked me how effective her prescriptions have been and if it did not resolve the itch offered another medicine for trial. She prescribed further that I take my current medicine for 1-2 more months, stop when itch dissipates, restart if the itch causes discomfort again and call her when necessary.

I was recommended to this office by one of my other ENT physician. I had a deviated septum all my life and since last year it was affecting my breathing. My Doctor was Dr. Ephrat who did the septoplasty surgery. Let me just say he is one of the most respectful, Kind & caring Doctor I have ever met. He hears you out and truly cares about what the problem is. If you think you have a deviated septum I recommend you making an appointment here and fixing it because you will not regret it. Everyone in this Doctors office knows what they are doing. The receptionist & medical assistant are the sweetest people. If you go to this office, you are in good hands.

“I had a chronic problem that is now totally cured”

I had seen Dr. Ephrat with a chronic sinus infection for almost two years. During that time he would advise me and prescribe helpful medicines, but never pressured me into having surgery. However, once I became fed up with my seemingly never-ending problems, Dr. Ephrat recommended taking care my severely deviated septum. What a life changing decision! My sinuses that were perpetually a problem are now as clear as day. I can smell and taste again, and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Ephrat’s skills as a surgeon left me with zero problems along the way, and I am now as happy as could be with my procedure. Thank you Dr. Ephrat!

“Amazing doctor and talented Surgeon to work with”

Dr. Moshe Ephrat is an amazing, talented, and educated surgeon. I had a car accident in July, which caused a deviated septum in my nose and it was so severe that it caused me breathing problems for months. I had headaches, pain and shortness of breath almost every other day which got worse when my allergies flared up causing my whole left nostril to close up.Me and my family did a lot of research online and met with many ENT’s and surgeons on what was wrong with my nose and breathing, many of which said surgery was my best option for long-term relief. After the first consultation with Dr. Ephrat, he answered all my questions and pre and post-op he made me feel very safe and at ease and fully explained the healing process. My breathing has gotten so much better, I can’t even put it into words and I owe this to Dr.Ephrat. I HIGHLY recommend anyone reading this review to have a consultation and see Dr. Ephrat for anything ENT related!

I have been seeing an ENT my entire adult life as I suffer with polyps. I have had two sinus reconstruction surgeries, one of which provided me with two years of relief, one provided me with only one month. Since I suffer with them and am 100% blocked it becomes difficult for me to sleep. My current ENT wanted me to undergo another surgery when I thought there must be a better way. I googled around and found Dr. Ephrat and his Polypvac on Youtube. After watching the video I thought, why can't my current doctor have done this instead of my last surgery? I made an appointment to see Dr. Ephrat who was able to see me in less than a week. He prescribed me a new regiment of medications and in less than a month my nose is completely unblocked and I feel like a new person. I am very thankful for his services and am so happy I have found him. He truly is a life changer!!

“I am ecstatic that your facility takes my insurance again!”

I have not gone to another ENT since you stopped taking my insurance. Now that you’re back in-network, my family and I are happy to once again receive the best health care around! Dr. Ephrat is phenomenal and have done wonders with my son’s and my surgeries. After suffering with ear and sinus infections for 30 years, it’s going on 5 years post his surgery where I haven’t had ANY infections at all! Stop searching for an ENT; please see Dr. Ephrat. Dr. Ephrat and his staff are great. This was not my first time seeing him and I will continue to see him as long as he is in practice. He is not just quick to prescribe medication or recommend surgery. He listens to my concerns and always explains everything thoroughly and makes sure I understand. His bedside manner is great, he is friendly and calming. It is comforting to have a physician that you can trust. I recommend Dr. Ephrat if you need an ENT, he is THE BEST.

“Follows Covid rules, on time, clear explanations.”

Dr. Ephrat examined both ears, then told me what had to be done.
He then went ahead to do the proceedure. I then had the hearing test. I then saw the Dr. again for the result. He said that I had some upper range loss.
Dr. suggested that I consider hearing aids; I thought about it on the way home and I'm not ready to do that. I don/t feel that I'm missing out on daily sounds. I like the Dr. Ephrat and will continue keeping my appointments.

“They are in a new office, better communication and cleaner.”

I have been cared for by Dr.Moshe Ephrat for about 8 years. I had a problem with a deviated septum that I endured for 25 years. I decided to have a procedure to correct my breathing difficulties. The relief was immediate after the correction to my left nasal passage. Have continued to have follow up visits since then, without having any side effects detected.
I also suffered from hearing loss for about 10 years, until I saw Lauren Sessa, AUD. She was the only one that met my Requirements 100%, for hearing correction and follow up testing and adjustment of the the hearing aids. I saw her for 2 years and will miss her. However, I now see Jessica Ali, at ENT and Allergy, who is a Doctor of Audiology, and I am impressed with her caring and a through follow up of my past visits.

I had a challenging case that required SMR surgery for a severe deviated septum. Dr. Ephrat did the job and I was happy that I was able to breathe through my nose, at least a little, right after surgery. Some procedures involve blocking the nasal passages completely for two weeks to heal. That scared me. I'm very happy Dr. Ephrat used a different method. Now breathing freely a week after surgery.

“Rushed, but trustworthy”

I felt confident in his assessment of my condition and that he was recommending the proper treatment and expected outcomes. I just wish there had been more time taken with me. I understand it was busy but I did feel like just another patient walking through the door. The procedure was a bit nerve wracking and would have liked more explanation on what to expect, that I may experience pain, and that maybe to take tylenol before the injection would be a good idea so as to not be in so much pain. I would have also appreciate a staff member , be it a PA or RN or NA , whatever, staff with me through the first 2-5 uneasy minutes post injection. I was extremely dizzy which they said I would be and I knew it would pass but having someone there just sitting with me would have been so , so appreciated. I would have really been a much more patient-focused experience.

Dr Smouha is a gentlemen and suggested I take gabapentin and Maalox and return 30 days which I will do.
I have a deep earache, inflammation every time i eat and drink and a constant salty metallic taste coming from the top left side of my mouth.
I trust Dr Smouha and I will do exactly what he said. Hopefully if my condition persists I will get new images and some lab work.

“A great Doctor, is skilled and with true expertise in his specialty”

I first encountered Dr. Smouha for a problem that was concerning to me. A Dr. I’d seen the previous day injured my ears which were bleeding overnight. He quickly checked the ears and helped to ensure they would heal by prescribing medication. He saw me again shortly after to check them. I have seen him yearly since then, and he always checks my ears, has an audiologist test my hearing and makes me feel good about the hearing I have.

Dr Ephrat's office is wonderful. Very clean and modern, cautious about Covid restrictions.
I filled out my paperwork online in advance of the appointment which saves time in the office. Texted from the parking lot as requested and was told to come right up.
I was taken to an exam room on time, answered some questions then, within two minutes, Dr Ephrat came in. He listened, asked questions when needed. Examined me, explained what he wanted to do. The audiologist was friendly and professional.
All in all, an excellent practice and a wonderful doctor - I'd recommend to everyone who needs a skilled ENT.

Dr. Ephrat helped me immensely yesterday. I was misdiagnosed by a doctor at urgent care who thought I just had a common cold and shouldn’t be on medication. I knew in my gut I had a sinus infection so I went to see Dr. Ephrat the next day since I was getting worse each day. He immediately told me I had a terrible sinus infection. He performed a culture and nasal endoscopy and prescribed medication. Thank you so much for listening and providing great care!

From the second you walk into the office to the time you leave the office, you are met with professionalism, courtesy, compassion, understanding. Dr Ephrat is my favorite doctor and it is always a pleasure to go to his office, even if he finds it necessary to stuff a tail pipe from a 1957 Chevy up my nose! I have THAT much trust and confidence in him!
PS. As of yet, Dr Ephrat has NOT found it necessary to stuff a tail pipe up my nose. JTC

“Dr. Ephrat is truely an amazing doctor, individual”

About five years ago a family member suggested i visit Dr. Ephrat after have a run of eight sinus infections a year for many years.
He was truely a genius and a kind and gentle man correcting what i was born with and suffered so long.
After sinus surgery which went very smoothly on my end, i was able to make it through winters without infections anymore.
God bless Dr. Ephrat.

I couldn’t breathe through my nose for almost a Year. I had terrible polyps!! Dr. Moshe performed surgery on May 16, 2023 . I cried a week after surgery, simply based on how clear I could breathe through my nose. And to be able to sleep well again is priceless to my health . Not mention to be able to smell again is so Beautiful. I love to cook and eat . I couldn’t smell anything before surgery. Doctor Moshe was a God send for my family. He also helped My 3 year old daughter with severe ear issues . My Wife And I couldn’t be happier. Dr Moshe and his Staff an absolute 10 out 10 all across the board !! The best ENT in NY !! I can say that I am breathing much better and that the surgery has significantly improved my quality of life. There was little to no pain during recovery and everything healed very well. You need to re evaluate your med techs. The one who I saw was almost illiterate but acted like I was just an ignorant patient. .
Fortunately, Dr Ephrat has the sense to go over the meds himself.
What is the med tech really doing?
And please follow infection pre action guidelines and have them put the long staticky hair up.

The office procedures regarding Covid protection was excellent. I appreciated waiting in my car and being taken in to the examination room within a minute of my arrival. Dr. Smouha literally saved my life. I suffered from debilitating vertigo, sometimes 3 to 4 times a week. Dr. Smouha felt he could help me with a gentamicin shot. Excellent. Dr. Portnoy was extremely clear, direct, and compassionate in diagnosing my throat issue and arriving at a treatment plan (surgery). Surgery was scheduled within a short period of time. Pre-op was accomplished the week before surgery. Surgery was successful. Biopsy was negative. Recovery is going well without any setbacks.

Dr Portnoy was one of the first doctors I've been to who actually took the time to listen to my issues, not dismiss them, but rather work to understand what the problem was. He didn't rush me in and out, and did not leave until all my questions were answered...he even asked me twice! Dr. Portnoy is not only a highly skilled physician but one who is caring and gentle. He is very modern and wholistic in his approach as a doctor. Many health issues are interconnected and can be confusing. It is so wonderful to be in the care of someone who truly takes the time to solve health issues and not just Medicate them. My voice went hoarse after Covid 6 months ago. I went an ENT 2x and a pulmonologist, none of which could diagnose me correctly.
Today I went to Dr Portnoy, was 15 minutes late due to GPS issues. He saw me anyway as soon as possible and found a small polyp on my vocal cord and explained my options.
Seems like a great doctor who cares about people. Can’t ask for more then that.

I have been suffering with undiagnosed chronic cough for nearly a decade. I’ve seen several doctors and tried various treatments. After meeting with Dr. Portnoy I feel optimistic that he will diagnose my condition and help alleviate my cough.
