Always a pleasure to visit Dr. Aviv. I battled with acid reflux with a chronic cough for years. (Still get cough when I go off the diet). Went to many doctors and no one gave me "a real diagnosis” just acid reflux and advised not to eat chocolate, wine, citrus etc. Finally met with Dr. Aviv and after examining me and giving me the Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing with sensory testing (FEESST) he diagnosed me immediately and explained what was going on. Prescribed meds along with a treatment plan and cough was under control. Staff is always so pleasant and helpful. HIGHLY recommend.

Dr Aviv helped diagnose a long standing problem that involved a hoarse voice, sore throat, post nasal drip and other issues of the head and neck. A FEESS procedure revealed that all this time I was suffering from voice granulomas, or ulcers, right on my vocal cords. I’m very big on salads with plenty of vinaigrette, as well as berries and citrus fruits. Who knew that would lead to damage to my throat? He prescribed a very simple and doable plan to reverse the damage to my esophageal area, which was to avoid vinegars, citrus, and carbonated drinks, use a steam inhaler for 5 min twice a day for a month or more and to drink smoothie recipes that he provided me with. Dr. Aviv gave me a peace of mind -and real solutions. Thank you so much!

“I waited an hour an half after my scheduled appointmenent”

Dr Aviv was very attentive and very interesting regarding his advice; however, I was a bit unclear regarding when I should schedule the follow up tests and appointments. I believe he said that he would contact my primary physician and help schedule a follow up test, but all of that was not done and I had to to that all myself.

Dr. Aviv showed me pictures of my perforated septum, which my regular ENT doctor has not done, so I was able to view how narrow my nasal airway to my right nostril has become. He offered me suggestions to help me with my LPR. He was personable, down-to-earth, and even called me by my name, something that few of my doctors have done. I enjoyed meeting Dr. Aviv. I was impressed with his clear diagnosis, his clear explanation of the plan, and his attentiveness. I also appreciated him taking my concerns seriously. But it was very frustrating that I was not seen until 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, making me late for work. It shows a lack of respect for patients' time. And no one even acknowledged how late the office was running. I would never treat a client that way. Doctors should not be given a pass for constantly making patients wait (especially after insisting that we arrive early!).
