Surgery was more painful than was expected

I would have liked to see more follow up on status of other eye.

Would have liked to understand the progression of Rt eye so that I can understand when and if I will be looking at surgery in that eye too.

I always feel confident that Dr. Reiss will explain my glaucoma issues thoroughly. Today he removed a suture from the right eye, and now I feel relief from a trabeculectomy performed by another Dr. Reiss spends a lot of time responding to my questions and is very knowledgeable. With him taking care of my vision, I know I am in good hands on opthalmologist in 2008.

“Amazing Results with Symphony Lenses”

If you have found George Reiss MD consider yourself lucky. I had my lenses replaced 2019 with the symphony lenses. This is the best gift I have ever given myself! I am an artist my vision is fantastic. I can't tell I wasn't born with these lens. I think the staff is wonderful I can't say nothing bad.

“Professional care with good chairside manner”

Dr. Reiss and his staff provided timely and thorough testing and feedback in my last two visits (Have only had 2 visits since I moved here.) My experiences with Dr Reiss has been long standing. Here in the office I have had very good outcomes. He has always been professional even if I wanted otherwise. I would not change for any reason.
The practice of scheduling patients every 5 minutes apart drives me nuts but on the whole, it's always been worth sticking it out.

My appointment stated pretty much on time and the staff were all friendly and efficient. Dr Reiss made sure I understood what procedure he was performing and what yo expect. The girls that did most of the pre testing explained what they were doing and what to expect. The appointment lasted close to the amount of time they told me to allow for this visit. I appreciated very much that my post op check up was okayed to be in Prescott by my referring Optometrist who Dr Reiss knows. My over all experience was very good. Thank you!

I arrived early and had only a brief period before being seen. This was my first visit and it was very well managed with minimal time waiting. Dr. Patel looked at data and did an eye exam. Recommended laser surgery to address glaucoma in both eyes from this data. Although I did not have any questions at that time, I subsequently submitted quesitons. Office responded on 1/24 and answered all my questions.

I was referred for treatment of narrow angle glaucoma. Scheduling and new patient set-up was easy and efficient; very friendly and helpful staff. Had to reschedule last minute due to Covid, staff was very accommodating to get me back in quickly. Office is very busy, but runs on time; well staffed with very good technicians. They’re very aware of nerves and take great care. Dr. Patel is the best! Wonderful demeanor, took time to explain and answer questions; not only with me, observed him providing same for other patients. Needed iridotomy in both eyes, which was done same day. A little unnerving, but relatively painless. I am a patient for life!

“The doctor was very knowledgable and the staff was great”

I suddenly had high pressure in one eye and Dr. Patel was highly recommended. The staff squeezed me in two days. It only took about 2 hours of testing. I guess I have the beginnings of glaucoma, We have a plan to address the high pressure and I was very pleased with the whole experience. The doctor had a great sense of humor (I like that) and the staff was terrific and caring.

Everything was fine except I was there for 2 hours! Had no idea I’d wait so long to see someone then several different exams from different technicians. Whew! Glad I had no other appointments that day.

I guess because the practice is so busy, it’s difficult to be personable and engaged with the patient. More of a factory line feel to the process moving from one station to another. Dr Reiss communicated competence, but appeared to be in a hurry. Probably he was struggling to keep pace with the unending stream of patients.

“My experience with Dr. Reiss and all the staff was great!”

I liked Dr. Reiss so much and felt confident with his recommendations on treating my condition. He was very pleasant and spent the necessary time answering my questions and explaining everything even though it was very busy in their office. He did an excellent job giving me the laser treatment I needed in both eyes. I can't say how thankful I am that they worked me in quickly since I had a condition that needed treatment right away. All the staff were extremely nice and everything seemed to run like clockwork despite how busy they were. My thanks to everyone who I had contact with for being so pleasant, helpful and kind. A special thanks to Natasha who couldn't have been more pleasant and welcoming. I talked to her on the phone prior to my appointment and she helped me at the front desk both days I came in.

Was behind schedule so a lot of waiting occurred. Was not impressed with how much Dr Reiss was touching his mask - that was too big- during the time he was in the room with me. He would move it up and down, and have his hand on it almost constantly. I don't think he even realized how much he was touching his mask in the short time he was in the room with me. Dr Reiss did answer any and all questions I had and had a very kind demeaner.

“My first visit was extremely, stress-reducing with Dr. Reiss.”

Dr. Reiss and each medical tech that performed the various glaucoma exams prior to my seeing him made me feel very comfortable and ready for the information I was going to be presented with at the final phase of the appointment. Dr. Reiss was slow and to the point about the stage of my glaucoma. This disease terrifies me and always has, and I now feel I can become more understanding about the final phases of this horrible disease.

I've been very happy with how Dr. Patel explains things to me. He takes his time to answer my questions. My surgeries went well and he walked me through the procedure before and during which was calming. The follow-up appointments have been good, meaning he explained what to expect after surgery and if I have concerns to call or come in. I feel his "bedside manner" is refreshing, I have seen many doctors in my life and think that is so important to me as a patient.

I was very impressed with every employee that interacted with me beginning with the receptionist upon my arrival. Each of them gave me an explanation what they were doing, kept the process moving smoothly going from one test to the next and giving me an explanation of what was being done. “as the new patient, the service provided was excellent.”

I was very pleased with the entire staff and all of the service that I received on my initial visit. I was also very impressed with Dr. Patel, he’s very thorough and an excellent listener. He described my condition beyond my satisfaction. His staff did a direct referral for me With another entity because of the situation. I appreciate the level of service, wavy on what I had expected.
