Before Dr Eli, my chronic pain conditions were managed, but in a sort of "well, that's as good as it's gonna get for you, so deal with it" way. I'd basically given up on getting effective treatment. Dr Eli has been relentless in trying to figure out what is going on and how we can best resolve or manage my issues. I am in less pain now than I have been in my entire adult life, and really, since I was a teenager. I'm in my mid-forties now. After a lifetime of not being taken seriously, being treated like I should accept things as they are and being treated like I had ulterior motives, Dr Eli has been nothing short of a miracle, both in how he treats me, and how he treats me. I'm forever grateful to him, and I'll be dragged out of his practice kicking and screaming, over my cold dead body...

Dr. Eli has been so caring and concerned over the five years I have been seeing him. He is a great listener and goes above and beyond to help me with his specialty as well as all items i have dealt him since being referred to him. When I came in I had extreme jaw pain and popping and clicking. With his treatment plan, it is 100% better and I do not experience the symptoms I suffered with for 20 years. The staff is great as well, so nice and helpful. The appointment setting and changing of appointments is super flexible which is great with my busy schedule. He also offers counseling services, an unexpected offering, which was a huge help after a serious car accident I had. I highly recommend Dr. Eli and the Staff.

Very rarely do I write a review, but in this case, I just had to share. Dr. Mehrotra is beyond professional, superb, and accurate in diagnosing, treating, and continually following up on your unique issues. I had severe TMJ pain. After numerous previous attempts by other doctors to figure out what was the cause, Dr. Mehrotra pinpointed exactly the underlying problem; a prolonged dental infection above upper right teeth. Yay! Problem solved. She is awesome!

I have had bruxism, and TMJ most of my life; and on top of that, I had a recent work injury that exacerbated this situation- spreading the pain to my neck and ear. The pain was driving me insane! No issues with the Dr. I had terrible issues with the scheduling staff- my visit had to be rescheduled and there was very little availability. When trying to find me an appointment the staff member became frustrated and yelled at me, saying I wasn’t being flexible because I didn’t want to go to the sorrento valley location. She also became frustrated again when I reminded her my appointment had already been pushed and my insurance approval would be running out. This is not my fault yet the staff member acted like I was intentionally being difficult with making the appointment.

I went to see Dr. Sachi for acute jaw pain. I could hardly open my month and very difficult to chew. She took the time to explained to me everything and gave me some medication and exercises to do. I then went back for a follow up visit in a week and the pain was a lot better. She then gave me the option to have an injection which she did. The very next day the pain was all most gone and I have not had any further pain since. Best medical care I ever had from a Dr. & her Assistant.

Learned a great deal about TMJ and possible treatments. Was fortunate in two ways: Dr Eli began with a minimalist treatment, which resolved my TMJ issue; Dr Eli was ethical. He prescribed only the treatment needed and did not attempt to sell me an expensive treatment plan that I did not need. Learned a great deal about TMJ and possible treatments. Was fortunate in two ways:
Dr Eli began with a minimalist treatment, which resolved my TMJ issue;
Dr Eli was ethical. He prescribed only the treatment needed and did not attempt to sell me an expensive treatment plan that I did not need. I really respected his honesty and would trust him in the future if my problem recurs.

I have been a patient with Dr. Eli for the last 8 years. I have Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, Occipital Neiralgia, and Glossopharyngeal Neuralgia. Without a doubt, Dr. Mehrotra comes highly recommended. I suffer from severe “hypnic” headaches. Hypnic headaches you ask? So, he did his best to not inject My hairline, but stayed away from the area's that are being effected by the Botox. I appreciate that he noticed this and made the appropriate changes. It wasn't an immediate fix, however, after five weekly injections and medications that I believe I will be on for some time if not forever, I am currently doing well. It may not be a permanent fix.
