“Great experience with Dr. Horwitz for Keller cheilectomy”

I saw Dr. Horwitz for hallux rigidus and we decided that surgery was the best option for me. I had a Keller cheilectomy done and am so glad I did! The recovery has gone well and now, 14 weeks out, I have no foot pain whatsoever and feel like a new person! It's so nice to no longer live with daily pain, and I have gained amazing range of motion in my big toe joint as well. I found Dr. Horwitz and the office staff to be friendly and they made me feel welcome at every appointment. The surgery center staff was fabulous as well and took great care of me. when I came to see Dr. Horwitz I really felt hopeless. I was in so much pain I couldn't walk and at one point I couldn't work. I really felt I would continue to decline until I couldn't walk at all. Dr. Horwitz listened to my story even though I'm sure he had heard it a 1000 times before. He looked me in the eye and reassured me that he understood and could correct my issues. I came in with an extreme case of plantar warts on my feet as well as plantar fasciitis on my right foot. Dr. Horwitz recognized right away that traditional in office treatment for the warts wasn't going to work. He treated my plantar fasciitis in one surgery one the same foot. I would recommend him to anyone going through both of these issues. I haven't been able to walk comfortably without pain for over 2.5 years. After surgery a month ago, I can now walk pain free. after years of pain in my feet, most likely due to running (disclaimer I'm young and healthy) i received special footwear with padding which decreased my pain significantly in just a few weeks. Heard about this operation over a decade ago while living outside U.S. and wish I could do the operation and use HyproCure implant to get rid of my lower back pain and tiredness since I do a lot of sports and outdoor activities on my feet.. Now just a month after doing the operation on my both feet I don't get any pain or tiredness and walk differently..I mean I walk just normally!

Dr. Horwitz treated me for Plantar fasciitis with sound waves. It was a relatively easy recovery... a bit painful for about a week. While I would say it took about 9-10 months to be absolutely pain free, but pain from one month out to that final result was typically only after being on my feet for a long time. It has been at least seven years since that procedure and I continue to be pain free!

“Why did I wait so long”

I had been told all the horror stories about how horrible this surgery is (bunionectomy and hammer toe). I actually walked out of surgery, was driving in two weeks and only took two pain pills. Dr. Horwitz was awesome and I'd recommend the surgery to anyone. Don't put it off!!!

“Michael figured out my problem!”

Finally got the painful calluses to go away and not grow back any more! After years of being in pain from felling like I am walking on a rock, Dr. Horwitz figured out how to get rid of it. “They must be doing something right it's my 4th time here.”

I came in to figure out what was going on with my foot after sitting in the emergency room being misdiagnosed. Dr. Horwitz told me I had gout which the doctor in the emergency room told me I was too young to have. I came in got diagnosed, received my prescription and was on my way. Came back to my follow up visit and the symptoms were down to a minimum. So safe to say I am happy with the results and I won't have to go to Mexico with a boot on. :)
