“Dr. Cunha the foot whisperer”

For years I've been going to specialists for my back problems. Eventually, they finally set me up with a podiatrist who wasn't associated with Gotham. Turns out I had plantar fasciitis and they administered cortisone injections. It was good for a little bit, but then it just coming back. I kept going back, and they kept giving me the same run around and giving me cortisone injections. At whatever point, I began to realize that they're not helping me solve my foot problems but manage my pain. I thought that this was now just a part of my routine to my everyday life, and I didn't question it for a while. Long story short, I decided to seek a second opinion, and that second opinion was from the helpful team at Gotham Footcare. Before I knew it, Dr. C set me up with physical therapist. That's literally all it took. Years of pain, and he treated me in a non-evasive manner. I am now pain free!!

I have been a patient for about (5) months. My condition was layered and required extensive assessment and review. Dr. Cunha exceeded my expectations with his 'easy to understand' diagnosis and calm demeanor. “Excellent treatment of plantar fascitis”

Experienced pain in foot after long runs (jogging). Suspected plantar fascitis, which was confirmed by Dr Cunha. The PT sessions seem to work and the overall pain is becoming more manageable (can run again). Hopeful it will go away with PT sessions. Would recommend Gotham Footcare to anyone experiencing plantar fascitis. The staff is very friendly and professional.

“Best doctor in NYC”

I wish I could give him 10 stars because Dr. Cunha deserves it after working on my feet. I had the ugliest feet ever! Dr. Cunha did 6 hammertoes and 2 bunions. “Foot Pain is gone!”

After several months of excruciating foot pain I can happily say I am no longer suffering. I am an avid sprint runner. After years of national training I developed plantar fasciitis. I was devastated that this would stop me from accomplishing my goals. Every morning I would step out of bed with tremendous heel pain. I learned about Gotham Footcare through a Google search. Dr. Cunha showed up many times in credible sources and so I decided to pay him a visit. I am so glad I did. He put me on a conservative plan and then a more rigorous one to get rid of the plantar fasciitis. It was pleasant and effective. I appreciate the team and the care from Gotham Footcare.

“Gotham Footcare is the best podiatry office in the city”

If I can give a practice 10 stars this would be it. Came to Gotham Footcare for a painful bunion removal. There was no other remedy other than surgery and I was prepared for that. Within 2 weeks I had my bunion surgery and now 2 months later I am golden and loving life. I can wear shoes now that I only dreamed about. I can dance all night when I used to sit out. Going to Gotham Footcare for my bunion removal was life changing.

“Diagnosis was spot on”

After visiting 2 doctors in England and 3 doctors in NYC, I finally came across Dr. Cunha that diagnosed my terrible foot pain. I am 69 years old and have been living with a unexplainable foot pain. At first I was skeptical to go to a younger doctor but after hearing his name more than twice I gave it a shot. He was very determined to help and now 8 months later I am walking pain free. It feels like a miracle even though its not. He is clearly a talented young doctor.

“Flawless”

I came to Gotham Footcare today to be treated for a Morton's Neuroma. I was pleasantly surprised with my visit. It was perfect. I was taken to a room right away where Dr. Cunha showed up 2 minutes later. The staff was very nice and the office was clean and stylish. I felt as if I was a celebrity. “Stubborn wart treatment”

I have had a stubborn wart for 5 years now. Its on mt left foot and I step on it while I walk which causes pain at times. I have had it frozen, cut and applied acid but nothing worked. “Tenex procedure for achilles tendonitis”

As a sufferer of achilles tendonitis from avid running I have been seeking remedy for a couple of years. I am glad I found a few reviews similar to my explaining the Tenex procedure as a successful minimally invasive surgery to rid of achilles tendonitis. Although the reviews were for plantar fasciitis and tendonitis I found the same resulted for achilles tendonitis. It was effortless, painless and fast recovery. “Best wart removal treatment in NYC”

I have had stubborn warts on my feet for several years. It could be contributed to walking barefoot in the gym showers. My family may have contracted them from me since I have learned that they are contagious. I found Gotham Footcare through a google search and found them to be most advanced with their technology, procedures and methods. I am very glad I did. Since then my wife, kids and myself have been treating the warts. Withing 2 treatments I see a vast difference. I may have to come back once more but my kids and wife are wart free!. I used to suffer from chronic plantar fascia pain for more than 6 months. Basic tasks like going to the groceries and carrying bags home became troublesome. “Business trip to NYC”

I am from Miami and had to come to NYC for a business trip. Long story short I stubbed my toe that I could barely walk. Dr. Cunha had a vacant slot in his midtown office and was able to see me right away. While I was there we spoke about another issue I was having that I put off for a while. It turns out while he did a minor surgery he pulled out a malignant mass. He probably saved my life and I didn't eve know it. I am very thankful to this human being that goes above and beyond what most people expect of him. I am truly greatfull. Now the only thing left is to convince him to open shop in Miami.

“Fungal nail treatment”

I had fungal nails for a few years now. I can contribute to the lack of shoes by the pool side. I tried laser fungal treatment and thought I was getting a Groupon deal but that resulted in a waste of money. I found Gotham Footcare online. They offered something fresh and new for fungal nails. I have been embarrased to show my fungal nails for years. Sandal season was never my favorite. I have tried mutiple laser nail removal but it didn't work. I came to Gotham Footcare because my friend received a newsletter with details on ClearaNail. I went to the office to get the procedure done once and I followed up with the instructions at home. It was very effective and I noticed a difference in week 3. My nail is now healthy looking 6 months later. I can't wait to put on my new pair of stuart weitzman sandals to show off my toes.

“Bunion Perfection”

I had a bunion surgery done at Gotham Footcare. I must of had the ugliest feet. Super self conscious about it. During the pandemic I figured why not have bunion correction while I was at home. I did some research online and this is when I found Dr. Cunha. He was extremely friendly and confident when I met him. He put me at ease right away and I felt good moving forward. Fast forward a few months and can Happily say I had a great experience. Virtually no pain, and my feet look so good. I can't wait for spring weather to show off my feet in sandals. This was life changing for me and I owe it to Gotham Footcare and Dr. Cunha for making it such an enjoyable experience.

“Beautiful Bunion”

Dr. Cunha is meticulous with his hands. I told him he should have been a plastic surgeon as he is very aesthetically inclined in his surgical skills. He performed a bunion that completely shifted my bone over. I was going to have minimally invasive surgery but a traditional bunion is the better choice for full correction and healing. He then must have taken his time to stitch me up because it healed invisibly on the side of my foot. No one would ever be able to tell. He is the best in the industry!

“Great Outcome”

I was a little skeptical at first. When I see a lot of great reviews I always wonder if they are real or not. I decided to give Gotham Footcare a shot. I was relieved by the outcome. The office is beautiful and super clean and the staff was very approachable and friendly. Moreover both doctors I was seen by were extremely kind and helpful. “My foot looks amazing!”

Dr Cunha operated on my bunion. I went from having an ugly foot that I would hide in sneakers to showing it off. I know longer suffer the pain from a prominent bone sticking out of my left foot. I am back in heels! This was so life changing. My only regret is not having it done a few years back. The team at Gotham Footcare was very professional and caring. This is a five star practice with a beautiful and clean office. Everything was handled well. Thank you Dr. Cunha you are a master in your field. I have such a pretty foot!!!

“Great foot doctor in NYC!”

Had a wonderful outcome with Dr. Cunha. I am 60 years old and felt I was too old to have a bunion surgery. Dr. Cunha gave me wonderful conservative ways to minimize my bunion pain but I was tired of basing my daily decisions on whether I was going to be able to bear the pain or not. I decided to move forward with Dr. Cunha because he showed me through x-rays that the popular minimally invasive bunion procedure so well followed by most podiatrists was not going to correct my bunion but rather just mask the symptoms for a few years. His bunion correction follows the gold standard by correcting the root of the problem, making it a permanent correction. He also places the small incision on the side of the foot so it is not visible. I am very happy with the results and the overall outcome. He is a very trust worthy fellow. I appreciate his service. Thank you Doc!

“Fungal nail is gone!”

Last year I spent countless hundreds on laser nail fungus removal. It did not work and I found myself researching a new procedure called ClearANail based out of England. I came to learn that Dr. Cunha at Gotham Footcare had this procedure. The ClearANail procedure was quick and painless. The cost was $800 for my big toe. Despite being costly it was worth it becasue in one shot and 4 months later my nail looks great. I highley recommend this procedure.

“Top Notch Doc!”

Dr. Cunha is a very warm, and personable doctor. He is very easy to talk to and doesn't rush you. He understood my symptoms and diagnosed me correctly. I had an annoying pain between my toes that two doctors misdiagnosed. Within a few minutes he told me I had a Morton's Neuroma by squeezing my toes together. The x-ray confirmed what he said. I had the cryo-surgery procedure done. It was easy. I am pain-free just like that. Cryo-surgery is minimally invasive and has no downtime. I am so glad I opted to have my procedure with Dr. Cunha.

Came in to see Dr. Cunha at his beautiful office Gotham Footcare in the midtown location. I was greeted by really nice staff that took me in right away. “Bunion success”

I came to Gotham Footcare for a bunion removal. He is an advocate of doing the bunion the gold standard way to provide optimal and permanent correction with a small side incision that is not visible. I almost got suckered into doing a minimally invasive bunion surgery but then heard a lot of complaints from a couple of my friends that mentioned the bunion returned 3 years later. Dr. Cunha explained how that was possible so I am so glad I didn't risk doing it the minimally invasive way. I am very happy with my results. Dr. Cunha was very professional and eased my way through the whole bunion process.

“Exceptional doctor with great people skills”

At first I was skeptical for seeing Doctor Cunha for my problem with Achilles Tendonitis. He has so many more reviews than all other podiatrists and isn't as old as the rest but from the moment I stepped in his office to the point I left I understood completely. He runs a nice office, warm staff and his medical and people skills are on point. I still have a few more visits on my treatment plan but I don't mind. I already see my recovery and the visits are pleasant.

“Most beautiful office in NYC”

As an interior designer I have never been impressed with any doctor's office in the city, however this office blew me away. Gotham Footcare on 5th Avenue is gorgeous. “Bunion Surgery Success!”

I heard about Gotham Footcare two years ago from a co-worker. She scheduled her appointments around lunch hour and was always happy to go to the doctor's office 2 times a week. I didn't understand the hype until I decided to go see Dr. Cunha to address a bunion that I had on my left foot that was causing me agony. I had a hard time finding shoes that didn't hurt because of the bump on my foot. From the very first visit I fell in love with the office, staff and the vibe of the doctor. “Diagnosis was correct and I am doing great”

I learned of Gotham Footcare through an article I came across on Google about wearing the correct shoes. It was a well rounded article summarizing how to pick your shoes. “Ugly fungal nails are gone”

I have tried everything in the market. You name I have done it. From drug store fungal nail lacquer, medication to fungal laser removal and nothing worked until I went to Gotham Footcare. They introduced me to something I had never heard of before. It's a device that make tiny little holes onto your nail bed that allows for medication to penetrate deeper into the nail. Just 2 weeks later I noticed something happening. It was so amazing to see my nails become more clear and clean looking. My nails are beautiful now. I can't wait for the summer to show them off. I no longer have disgusting yellow and brittle toenails thanks to Gotham Footcare.

“Shockwave therapy alleviated my plantar fasciitis”

GothamFootcare was able to improve my lifestyle. I have been suffering with plantar fasciitis during the whole pandemic. Simply walking to the grocery store and back was painful. I am a road runner member here in NYC and participated in many marathons along the last several years, however in the last year I began to feel pain along my heel as I get out f bed in the morning. “Tenex procedure for Achilles Tendonitis saved me”

I had terrible pain from my Achilles Tendonitis. Simple tasks were becoming difficult. I spoke to Dr. Cunha at Gotham Footcare over a telemedecine during COVID. We went through some at home exercises, prescription and shoes recommendations to get me through the next couple of weeks. But once the office opened I opted for the Tenex minimally invasive procedures that did wonders. I am pain free now. It was a quick and painless recovery. I am so grateful I followed Dr. Cunha's recommendation.

“Wart zapped within 2 visits”

Gotham Footcare is at the top of my charts for doctors office experience. Dr. Cunha's approach is very refreshing. He is very knowledgeable and lays out all your treatment options which is quite a few since they carry all the advance equipment you can dream of. “My bunions are gone and my feet look beautiful”

I was introduced to Dr. Cunha by a family friend who has been going to him for years. He has a very welcoming office and courteous staff. Before the pandemic he did my left bunion which looked amazing and healed quickly. Since I was working from home these past months I decided to take care of my right bunion. It was a golden time to take care of me without needing to take off time from work and recover at home. Dr. Cunha is a perfectionist. He operates out of his own facility so the procedure is never rushed. He made sure I had a total correction and the seam was done with a plastic surgeon technique. By feet look so beautiful! “Two bunions”

I had both of my bunions done with Dr. Cunha. Both came out beautiful and pain free. I was going to make the mistake of having the procedure done minimally invasive which would require to have it done again a few years later. Apparently I learned that the minimally invasive bunion surgery is not permanent correction. It is not correcting the root of the problem but rather just a quick fix.

“Tenex Procedure that cured achilles tendonitis”

Had a minimally invasive procedure at Gotham Footcare called Tenex to treat Achilles Tendonitis. I highly recommend the procedure and this doctor's office. Had I known sooner I would have done Tenex a long time ago. I have been suffering from Achilles Tendinitis for 3 years now. I was afraid of surgery but this was nothing.

“Painful pebble feeling gone”

A painful pebble stuck in my shoe was what my foot felt like for a while. Not knowing what it was I went to several doctors in NYC and 2 out of teh 4 diagnosed Morton's Neuroma. “Plantar Wart”

“Got rid of my Heel Pain”

Painful mornings when I would step off of bed with plantar fasciitis. The heel pain was so unbearable in the morning but as the day went on it would disappear so I put off seeing a doctor. It got worse in time so I searched online for a podiatrist in NYC. The choice was clear. I came to Gotham Footcare. I am very glad I did. They took such great care of me and I enjoyed coming here.

“No pain anymore”

I went to Gotham Footcare because of a terrible heel pain. I came to find out I had Plantar Fasciitis. The office is very nice and convenient. X-ray is onsite so the doctor was able to diagnose me quickly. I feel very confident and trust the care I am getting here.

“Loyal Patient for over 2 years now”

I have been coming to Gotham Footcare for physical therapy for a couple of years now. The staff are lovely and super accommodating. The office is pleasant and clean. The medical assistants are also very attentive. Dr. Cunha is outstanding! He is very personable and knowledgeable, always taking the time to answer your questions and making sure you walk away understanding and confident about the treatment plan. I would recommend him and his practice to anyone needing foot care.

“Friendly doc”

Dr. Cunha is a straight forward honest and knowledgeable doctor. I has terrible pain in my right foot from having sprained it a few times. Dr. Cunha laid out a custom plan for me that worked with my work and time constraints. He cares a lot about his patients and the conversations are a plus too.

“Gout”

I came to see Dr. Cunha because I found out I had gout. It was terrible pain. Dr. Cunha injected the joint to minimize pain and gave me prescription. I felt better within 2 days. I really liek Dr. Cunha and the practice.

“Ingrown Toenail”

I came here today to treat an ingrown toenail. I attempted to fix it at home but it got worse. Dr. Cunha was very friendly and took care of it quickly on the same day. I was given soaking instructions to finish the treatment. Overall I am very happy with the attentiveness and care I received here.

“Wonderful Practice in Midtown”

“Amazing right from the beginning”

Truly a wonderful practice with caring doctors and lovely staff. Everyone is very helpful and responsive. I came to see Dr, Cunha for a discolored nail. I was highly embarrassed about it and the laser treatment at another location was not effective. He immediately had an action plan and took care of it. Didn't have to think much about it. I love coming here and highly recommend it.

“Best Doctor in NYCI”

I found Gotham Footcare online. It's not the usual way but I was new to NYC. I came in to see Dr. Cunha for a bunion on my left foot. I had pain with almost every shoe except flip flops. But even that was causing me more pain in my plantar fascia. Dr. Cunha explained that my arch had collapsed from wearing flat shoes with no arch support. I knew it was time to do bunion surgery. I had heard of a minimally invasive procedure but that was just involving shaving the bump. Meaning that it was not a permanent solution and teh bumo could grow back. I had bunion surgery to correct the root of the problem. It was a good time because I was working from home an dmade recovery easier. Everything went well and my feet look and feel normal. I am glad I found Gotham Footcare and had my care with Dr. Cunha. I highly recommend this team for footcare.

I came to Gotham Footcare for a first opinion on a bunion and decided I didn't even need a seconf. Dr. Cunha does great work. He showed me xrays, pictures of prior work and was very detailed with great bedside manner. I will be doing surgery with him in a couplde of weeks. All scheduked and ready to go.

“Ingrown Toenail”

I was so nervous to get my ingrown toenail treated anywhere that I tried to do it at home. That was a big mistake. It got infected. I went to see Dr. Cunha and he was extremely gentle and explained each step along the way. This is my favorite doctor's office.
