“Dr Jason Sciarretta”
My sister was admitted into the hospital on Jan 26th with a diviticulitous(sp) rupture. In addition to the rupture, she had four bacteria infections in her abdomen and one in her blood, her kidneys were shutting down and she was dehydrated Someone was watching out for my sister on that day, because that's the day she met Dr Jason Sciarretta. He suctioned two liters of infection from her abdomen that first surgery, which was roughly 3 hours, the next was 4 hours later in her ICU room because she was too sick to be moved to the OR. I had called to see how she was doing after the surgery and who came to the phone.....Dr Sciarretta and that was at 3:30 am. Her chances of survival was roughly 35%, she was just that sick. During the next eight weeks, Dr Sciarretta took her into the OR to be washed out every other day. It also took three surgeries to attach her small intestine to her colon, her intestine kept falling apart due to her smoking, lack of balanced diet and all around health. Dr Sciarretta conducted every wash-out, every surgery that was performed on my sister. He saw her every day for 3 months. He always called to give me updates on what he was doing, how she was and what he results he was hoping for.
Today was her first visit with Dr Sciarretta since leaving the ICU. She walked into his office for her appointment completely on her own. Her incision has finally closed. He told her today that she can drive again.
You have no idea what this man means to my family. He saved my sister's life. He never stopped fighting to save her life and wouldn't let her quit either. We truly believe her life was saved by Dr. Sciarretta. We would recommend Dr Sciarretta to anyone I know that needed surgery. AWESOME DOCTOR!!!
