“Joseph ask for too much lab work with no explanation of the cost to the patient.”
When I first moved to Dalton, I needed a new physician. I am healthy and simply needed a physical for my new employer. It was fairly easy to schedule an appointment with Dr Joseph Paulson, but now I know why. After my first visit, he ordered a lot of lab work. At the time I asked about the cost but despite nationwide regulations, Dr Paulson nor his staff could give me a clear figure of the cost. The four labs cost me over $400 after my insurance covered another $400. Dr Paulson also asked that I come back in for third visit. Ultimately, I was charged over $1,000 and my insurance company was charged substantially more. The visit should have been a quick physical but Dr Paulson seemingly jumped at the chance to prove his worth to his organization.
