“Excellent: Very informed, eye-opening, and extremely helpful”
I made an appointment because of my up-and-down roller-coaster energy issues, and before I could tell Dr. Bier what was wrong with my energy, he was able to tell me that I had burnt out my adrenal glands, so I had no energy, and to compensate for the low energy I was self-medicating by eating massive amounts of sugary and starchy foods, which spiked my blood sugar levels, then I would crash, which is why my energy would go up and down so quickly, and by doing so I was doing a lot of damage to my pancreas. But wait! There's more! He also discovered I had digestive problems, AND mucus issues (caused by a lifetime of dairy consumption). He also said I was not getting nearly enough protein. I had to pick my jaw up off the floor, with everything he was able to figure out without me even saying a word. I then said that I had cut sugar and all processed foods out of my diet for several weeks prior, and he asked if I was eating fruit. I said "yes... A LOT of fruit..." He showed me this great diagram that compared a perfectly healthy person (which I thought I was...) to my current situation. I realized I was in pretty rough shape. I asked: "Am I fixable?" He said yes, but that it would take some time, and a strict diet and supplement regime. He explained that I would feel worse before I started feeling better. He was right, but I'm finally over that hump, which took many months. I'm slowly but surely starting to feel a little better with each passing month. I have become fascinated with health and wellness, and I thought I knew a lot going into my first appointment, and Dr. Bier was able to dispel all of my misconceptions and explain why in ways that made perfect sense. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet! There's a lot of misinformation out there!
Overall, I highly, highly recommend!
