Dr. Heffelfinger was truly an artist in recreating my nose after a serious car accident. He was able to reconstruct my nose. The office was nice and able to take my calls after surgery and were able to guide me in my recovery.

“Successfully Breathing with Septo/Rhinoplasty”

After years of worsening nasal breathing/nasal valve collapse after an unrepaired broken nose, finding Dr Heffelfinger was a true relief. He did a great job diagnosing my issues, presenting me with the available options, and finally performing a full septoplasty/rhinoplasty to repair my nose and remove a visible hump on the bridge. The result now 1.5 years later is consistently better nasal breathing in all cases, especially at night and at times of high allergen activity, and a straightened nose. The surgery and recovery was no joke, but he did a great job coaching me through what to expect during prep and recovery. The business end of the whole experience went very well, with insurance covering the multiple procedures completely. Thanks Dr. Heffelfinger!

“Refreshing Change For The Better”

I had two previous rhinoplastys, which I was extremely unhappy with from another plastic surgeon. My consult with Dr. Krein made me feel so great and confident in his abilities to finally get my nose right. He also performed an otoplasty for me. Both the revision rhinoplasty and otoplasty came out amazing!! It is so natural looking and not obvious that I had plastic surgery. I didn't know what to expect, and had honestly nearly lost hope. A friend of mine had recommended Dr Howard Krein - and I came down from New York City specifically to see Dr Krein after unsuccessful interventions with so called "top doctors" in LA, NYC, and abroad.I have never been one for reviews but have to insist you see Dr Krein. From the moment I met him, my soul was set at ease, he treated me as if he had the same exact concerns that I did. As I looked in the mirror following my procedure, i could barely believe my eyes. He had returned my face to how I best remembered myself and restored not only my confidence - but confidence in plastic surgery as a profession. “The only doctor that could solve my 10-year old problem.”

Having spent time with Dr Krein I have noticed that he really does care about his patients wants/needs but also care about his results. Always willing to listen and talk about concerns. The day of surgery he spoke with me for about 10 minutes and really put me at ease before going under.

Dr. Howard Krein is an amazing doctor/surgeon. I had an amazing experience while under his care. The whole process was a great one. At no time did I second guess my care. From the diagnostic, surgery and post surgery I felt nothing but confidence in his ability to help me. Dr. Krein is very personable and takes took his time to listen to my concerns and questions. First of all, Dr. Krein’s bedside manner is adorable. He is cute, funny, friendly, and professional - all at the same time.
Next, his surgical skills. My dressing is still on till tomorrow. I had a mini face lift/neck lift.
As you can see I am writing this the day of surgery ( 9 hours)! So, zero pain, what you can see of my face - NO swelling, No black & blue.
I’m amazed!!!! Tomorrow my be a little worse, but I feel so euphoric just about the way today went! Thank you sooooooo much!
Kudos to the whole awesome team of pre-op nurses, anesthesia, post-op nurses, recovery room.

I had a very large, irregular, circular hole in the middle of my forehead after having skin cancer removed by my dermatologist. I could not imagine how it could be closed without a significant defect. Six weeks out (early in the process) the incision is healing beautifully, and I am told often that it is barely noticeable. “Surgery for nasal valve stenosis and cosmetic appearance”

Had a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Krein in April 2022 for a revision rhinoplasty. My first surgeon took out too much cartilage from my nose and I was left unable to breathe proplerly through both my nostrils. I was also not happy with the cosmetic appearance from my initial surgery. Dr krein walked in and immediately said he could fix the issue and I trusted him completely. He has a calm, friendly, professional demeanor and a great sense of humor.
I left with a beautiful nose and my breathing significantly improved. Have no hesitation recommending him to everyone in need of this procedure.

I had a very saggy, aging neck that was all I could see when I looked in the mirror. I have never had any sort of cosmetic work so although I didn't like my neck I was very apprehensive to have surgery. After much research I made an appointment to see Dr. Hefflefinger. From the minute I entered the office I was welcomed and felt well cared for (the front desk girls, the in the back by Ashley who listens and allays concerns, Michelle who has the sweetest most calming demeanor.) Then there is Dr Hefflefinger who is exactly what you would hope for in a surgeon. Intelligent, personable, and thoughtful. He just makes you feel comfortable from the minute you meet him. He listens, explains, and has this infectious smile and really congenial personality. I conveyed my concerns and fears and we spent a good amount of time discussing options. Dr. Hefflefinger and his expertise and skill are exceptional and the staff he cultivated speaks volumes about him as well.

“I had an amazing experience with an in office blepharoplasty.”

Dr. Krein and his office staff are truly the A team. I had an in office upper and lower blepharoplasty with zero pain. Shannon Dr. Krein nurse practitioner was comforting, informative and available post-op via phone as well as email. In a large university setting this office feels boutique. I am 100% statisfied with my care and results were astounding.

when I came to Dr. Krein to be stitched I was very concerned about how he could stitch me to minimize scarring. He seemed confident and assured me repeatedly that he could maintain symmetry in my features and that I would not be unhappy. I returned today 10 days later and am very happy thus far. We are going to work together to minimize the scar. I am so very happy with his professionalism and the team he works with. I highly recommend him and his practice.

Dr. Krein transformed my gruesome forehead scar that started between my eyebrows and into my hairline into being virtually unnoticeable. He is compassionate and a perfectionist and is sure to do the best job he can.
When my accident happened I was 20 years old which was when I started seeing Dr. Krein. Thanks to his uplifting personality and humor, this situation is far less traumatic than it should have been. I'm thankful to have the opportunity to be one of his patients.

I have been receiving fillers and botox from Dr. Krein for about 6 years, and his work has always resulted in a natural and refreshed look, which is what I've wanted. Before my first appointment, I was extremely nervous. I choose Jefferson initially because I was more comfortable with the work being performed in an academic facility. Any expectation I had was exceeded by the care and attention I received. Dr. Krein was patient in answering all my questions and made me feel at ease - which, frankly, is no small feat. Since then, the results have remained consistent and each experience at the office has been pleasant - the nurses and staff are similarly welcoming, and informed. I cannot imagine letting anyone other than Dr. Krein near my face with an elective needle, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.

“I would do it again”

Run to Dr. Krein. He is so competent -- you can just sense how he is comfortable and has completely mastered his profession. I hope that I can come to him again if I ever need anything...which is the only reason I get nervous about sending the masses! But run to him. I can breathe for the first time in my life. And when discussing possibly involving a cosmetic portion to my surgery, he was so honest and it meant not getting additional services -- so he is honest and will make you feel that you can give the worrying away to the staff. I was calm throughout my entire process.

I struggled with the idea of having a facial procedure for quite awhile. When I met Dr. Krein and his staff I felt very comfortable with his diagnosis. They addressed my concerns and questions so I was able to relax and trust that I was in good hands.

My procedure and recovery went exactly as Dr. Krein told me it would be....no surprises. I had swelling but not one bruise.

It is now 5 weeks after my surgery and I feel and look better than I imagined.

“Exceptional physician…the only one I’ve ever WANTED to visit!”

I just can’t say enough about Dr. Krein. I had terrible airflow in my nose and it’s has been totally fixed via corrective surgical procedure. Cosmetically, it is very natural looking, which is wonderful. He takes the time to answer all of my questions and make sure that physically everything healed well and looks well. Highly recommend him for you cosmetic and functional facial needs!

“I received a rhinoplasty revision.”

I came to Dr. Krein for a rhinoplasty revision after having a rhinoplasty from a different provider 4 years ago and was not happy with the results. Dr. Krein listened to my issues and my concerns and did everything to satisfy these. I am very happy with my results.
