Sucks to have a toothache, worse to find out it needs a root canal, horrible to not have dental insurance but.....all in all, great to be able to go to a dentist who can turn the situation into an ok experience and fix the the tooth quickly and accurately. “Apicoectomy”

I was referred to Dr. Shugars for an apicoectomy in 2016. He was very nice and clearly wanted to help me. He made me feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the proecdure failed (not his fault) and in 2017 I had to return to have it re-done. Thankfully, Dr. Shugars stands behind his work because i dont know what i would have done on my own!

Did not look forward to this procedure, as I've heard negative things in general regarding root canals. I was pleasantly surprised on how Dr. Shugars explained the procedure and asked if I needed additional explanation. There was surprisingly no pain and the procedure was quick. Staff was helpful and friendly. Don't wish to have another, but if I need another one I know who to call.

First time with a specialist and had heard horror stories about root canals. Called and was told I would be able to be seen in a week and a half, thought "Oh boy. Not sure I can last that long." Was able to come in on short notice, he diagnosed my problem and did the root canal with little to no pain at all. Staff very friendly and helpful as well.

My prior dentist inaccurately listed the wrong tooth as having work done or extracted. I had work done on the tooth at DDS Shugars. When it came to paying bill Delta Dental wasn't going to pay. The receptionist was very helpful in calling Delta Dental, former dentist, and current dentist to get the matter corrected.
