I have had 2 previous PRP treatments with Dr. Bissoon in order to reverse my hair loss. Both treatments were successful in slowing growth and thickening my hair for several months. There is slight discomfort during injections, but nothing bad enough to prevent me from seeking another treatment (especially after the results).
On my third visit, rather than using PRP, Dr. Bissoon performed stem cell therapy. Recent research indicates stem cells may be more effective than traditional PRP. Dr. Bissoon extracted stem cells from my tibia and performed a similar treatment as the PRP on my scalp. This required far fewer injections and therefore way less discomfort.
