Our new modern and expansive Emergency department (ER) at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital has nearly doubled in size offering 32 large, private rooms, a spacious waiting area, dedicated entry points for ambulance drop off and walk in for easy entry and triage, a designated “fast-track” area for rapid treatment of less serious conditions, a rooftop helipad with direct access to the ER, all designed to promote healing and comfort for patients in emergency situations when every minute counts.
