I have come to Dr. Marefat for several procedures and consultations. My latest involved an upper eyelid surgery to address both appearance and vision issues. The 1.5 hour procedure was handled flawlessly, without pain. The surgery Recovery was very swift and there are no visible scars. I am completely satisfied with the results. He is also a doctor who is sympathetic, reassuring, and easy to talk to. He is accessible and answers every question. He and his capable staff have my strongest endorsement.

Dr. Marefat did an amazing job with correcting my post mastectomy issues. I am really happy with the breast reconstruction procedure and fat grafting to the breast he has done. I went to see him in Arlington, VA and I had the procedure done at the INOVA Alexandria Hospital.

Dr. Marefat is so professional and passionate about what he does and he cares about his patients.
The office personal were really nice and helpful. They were so patient with working with my insurance company on the extensive documentation that was needed to get the pre-authorization to proceed with my surgery.

“Dr. Marefat fixed my elbow after a bad bike crash”

After a collision with a car while I was riding my bike, I was left with a very ugly keloid scar on my left elbow. I had fallen from my bike and sustained injuries before, even scars, but nothing this bad. I was referred to Dr. Marefat after doing some online research. His previous positive reviews convinced me to get a consultation. Since then, I couldn't have imagined that my scar would be as improved as it had been. Two simple treatments from Dr. Marefat and my scar has reduced greatly.

“I can't say enough good about this experience”

Dr. Marefat took his time to carefully examine me and make suggestions. He explained the procedures in detail in terms of the surgery, expected results and recovery times.
It is immediately apparent that he is leans on the conservative side yet is up to date on the latest most effective and least invasive procedures.
With a few well-placed fat injections, a decade of aging disappeared from my face. Buttock fat grafting and a breast lift transformed my body in ways I couldn't have imagined.

This is a second time that I am doing cosmetic surgery with Dr. Marefat. I was referred to him by one of my friend who also did cosmetic surgery with him. I am so happy with the result. “Amazing, patient doctor - fabulous results”

I have come to Dr. Marefat several times over the years. I have had a corrective breast lift (mastopexy) and augmentation, liposuction on my outer thighs and stomach, tissue fillers on my face, and botox. He is amazing. He has the most wonderful bedside manner. Discussing cosmetic surgery with doctors made me feel incredibly vulnerable but he made me feel so comfortable and he was completely non-judgmental, compared to other doctors I visited for consultations. My results are fabulous. I had previous breast implants by another doctor removed and Dr. M corrected a bad capsular contracture before performing a breast lift with new implants. Several years later, I have not had any problems and they still look great. The liposuction looked natural and smoothed out my curves exactly the way I was hoping, with a beautiful result. He is like a magician with fillers! I can't believe what a smooth, even, rejuvenated result I got, and I love it. Dr. M is the best. I highly recommend him!

“Keloid scar revision after reconstructive shoulder surgery and thyroidectomy.”

I had two large, red, raised keloid scars following a reconstructive shoulder surgery and a thyroidectomy. The scar on my shoulder was so painful that I didn't want to have clothing or a purse strap even touch it. Dr. Marafet incised the entire scar and re-stitched the skin so carefully that no keloid reformed and the scar is barely visible following some kenlog injections. He talked to me during the entire procedure and delicately put in hundreds of stitches to hide the scar in the folds of my skin. After a series of kenlog injections in the scar on my neck, it is also barely visible. It's such a blessing to not have people notice my scars when I am wearing professional clothing and have to engage in a discussion about why the scars are present. Thanks Dr. Marefat!

“Breast Reconstruction Revision ”

14 years ago, I worked with Dr. Marefat to correct my deviated septum and bulbous nose. 6 years later I went through breast cancer treatment in a different state but want Dr. Marefat to remove my implants and do a fat grafting procedure instead so I feel more natural. He remembered me right away from 14 years ago and follows my life unfolding on facebook. I really appreciated that so much and know I am in very capable hands. “Dr. Marefat is very professional and takes the time out to discuss your procedure in great detail. He answers all question and concerns during after and at followup appointments”

Dr, Marefat took the time to prepare me for my procedure and during follow up visits he listened to my areas of concerns were minor revisions were needed. Fat grafting was successful for the most part but there are areas that I would like to have more fat grafting. He explained that there is a percentage of fat that will not take. Dr. Marifat is willing to make the minor revisions and is very concerned about my overall results and is anxious to do the minor revisions. Over all i am happy with results. he removed alot of fat and my body looks great. i have fuller hips and buttocks and my stomach and back fat was removed leaving me with a nice curvy shape. I am very pleased about that. I highly recommend Dr. Marefat.

I saw Dr Marefat to discuss the 60 year old bags under my eyes and drooping eyelids. He took a look and in great detail walked me through his vision for my future self (look). “Earlobe repair surgery was quick and professional!”

My experience with Dr. Marefat was nothing but pleasant. I was scheduled for an appointment just one week from my first call to his office. The diagnosis/surgery was preformed the same day and was essentially painless. The repair was done perfectly and healing process was quick and easy. On top of that, she surgery was relatively inexpensive. His assistant Roya is a pleasure to work with as well! I would recommend this office to anyone in need of cosmetic surgery.

“Seen For Scar Revision”

Had a hole from a piercing on my cheek so I came to see if they can help me get rid of it. I chose scar revision from a few options they gave me. The cost wasn't too much and the result came out very well. It took out the hole out completely so I'm satisfied.

“I had a forehead vein excision about two years ago at the Arlington location. ”

I was very pleased with the result. Before the surgery my forehead veins were very pronounced and visible, especially after rigorous exercise. Dr. Marefat removed the veins (in-office procedure) and a couple weeks later removed the stitches. Within a month the tiny scars from the incisions had faded significantly, and eventually they disappeared. My mother and sisters, who were aware of my procedure, were pretty much blown away by my appearance after the surgery.

Dr Marefat is a very down to earth Doctor that has been practicing for so many years. he listened to my concerns and made sure all my questions were answered accurately. I had another doctor botch my lips. Dr. Marefat took the time to fix them little by little through a variety of techniques. They now look completely normal! I am also very pleased with the additional procedures I trusted him to do including fat grafting and lipo suction.
