“SI Joint Fusion”

I have been trying to track down and solve a pain in the hip and leg for years. Finally I was recommended to doctor Schiebert by my insurance company. I was expecting the usual no help I have gotten from at least 10 prior doctors. I will say the experience leading to my surgery from the staff to the doctor has been nothing short of a miracle. “Amazing! feels younger again!!”

I was diagnosed with a severe to critical spinal stenosis in my lumber spine at multiple levels. This condition deprived me of doing my normal activities since 2007 - I could not stand and walk freely even for a 5-10 minutes. In late 2017, I made a decision go for surgery at NJ Spine and Orthopedic. Dr. Katzman and his colleagues performed surgery. Within 2 weeks into my surgery, I am back to my normal life - I can walk over a mile without any issues! Thank you NJ Spine.

Ive been dealing with this pain on my neck which was producing bilateral hand shooting pain and no doctor here in nj wanted to operate on me and the one that did wanted to do a fusion for my cervical spine. Dr Katzman is rare blend of expert surgeon and compassionate human being. He is expert in state of the art technology and performed difficult 2 level disk replacement in my neck when no other doctor would even attempt. I made rapid and complete recovery within a few weeks. “Experienced surgeon, very personable and great listener”

Dr Katzman performed L3-L4-L5-S1 spinal laminectomy, facetectomy and my results are very satisfactory. AFter about six weeks, I feel better and he assured me it will keep getting better.
The only problem I have had was post-operative care and follow up. I wish the practice was more cognizant about calling patients after the surgery to follow-up and returning calls. This is even more important when a patient had a post-surgical complications with anesthesia.

“My experience at NJ Spine and Orthopedic with Dr. Douglas Slaughter”

when I met Dr. Slaughter for the very first time, he made me feel comfortable. He explain my to me what was going on to my neck and shoulder due to my auto accident on 1/19/17. He recommended surgery. He also a sure me that after my surgery I would bee able to return to work and doing the activities that I did in the past. My surgery was done on 11/16/17. Within the next 3 months I will be going back to work full time.

As soon as I decided to proceed with the Mobi-C device and made my first call to the office, I was treated professionally and expeditiously to accomplish my goal of pain relief and neck mobility. A previous surgeon recommended fusion of my entire neck so of course this was a far superior solution. Doctor Slaughter and his team was professional, honest, and really great to work with. After approx 90 minutes of out-patient surgery, relief was immediate.

Dr. Schiebert is the most patient, understanding and knowledgeable doctor I met with regarding my condition. I had sciatica pain due to a herniation in my L4-L5 and L5-S1 discs. “Relief I Thought was never possible”

After a bad car accident I was suffering from terrible back pain which was a constant 8 out of 10 on the pain scale. I was lucky to sleep 3 hours a day and no doctors were doing anything more then giving me injections claiming i only had a bulging disc even when i would ask for more tests to be done. This went on for over 18 months. Then i was able to get my insurance to cover a visit with Dr. Schiebert and ever since the first appointment i have started getting my life back.My pain is a 0 now

Nothing helped. I was told "live and die with it".
Dr. Katzman figured my problem out immediatly.
An L5/S1 disc removal and fusion was done Thursday March 30th, SAME DAY! NO HOSPITAL STAY! Picked me up in the morning and drove me home that night
I was back at my desk at work the very next Thursday!
I feel great now, I say Miracle!

“Don't live with pain”

After coming to NJ Spine and being treated by Dr. Slaughter I am a new man. Dr. Slaughter performed a fusion surgery and opened up my spinal canal easing the stenosis causing me pain. Other Dr.s diagnosed me with stenosis but wouldn't do surgery. Wanted to prescribe meds. This Dr. fixed the problem instead of treating the symptoms. I highly reccomend NJ Spine and Orthopedic and Dr. Slaughter for any back/neck problems.

“Exceeded my expectations”

Dr. Slaughter and his staff made my experience a comfortable one. I was very nervous about having this surgery. As soon as I awoke from surgery the pain from my compressed nerve was gone.

It has been almost three weeks and I feel like I will make a full recovery, after 4-6 weeks of PT.
