“I am extremely pleased with the care I received from Dr. Hochfelder”

I had a bilateral hip replacement on December 14.

From the first time I met with Dr. Hochfelder, I was put at ease. The doctor really listened to me and my concerns and gave me thoughtful professional feedback and advice. He even suggested I get other opinions before I made a decision.

This guy is a surgical rockstar, but the clincher for me was the way he takes time to listen and answer, never rushed--as well as his affability, down to earth demeanor and great sense of humor.

Dr.Hochfelder was very attentive both pre andpost surgury. Pain levels were far lower than I had expected and the healing process moved far faster than anticipated. At six weeks I had no trouble climbing three flights of stairs or walking pain free or nearly so for as far as l wished.
could not have wished for better results.

“Better than the first knee surgery!”

Dr, Hochfelder takes the time to answer all questions and give all options prior to surgery. He called the day before surgery to see if I had any concerns or questions.......never have had that attention before. My surgery and recovery has been much better than the first knee replacement, which was done by another doctor. I strongly recommend Dr. Hochfelder for a knee replacement

Dr. Hochfelder was very thorough in explaining the procedure which gave me confidence in him and in myself that I could carry it through. He is an excellent surgeon. Good comfort level post surgery. I would recommend him and his orthopedic group to any of my friends. He was there for me when I did have a problem. He followed through on all of my concerns. I am recovering ahead of schedule due to his surgical expertise.

“Excellent!! Have recommended him to many friends!!”

I had total right knee replacement. Surgery was 7:30 AM, I was home by 4:30PM same day. Recovery was even better than I expected. I followed his directions for exercise, icing, relaxing, and pain medication. Walked without assistance by day three, drove after three weeks, have resumed regular activities, move nimbly and without pain, better than during the past five years. Thank you Dr. Hochfelder!!!

“One of the best orthopedic doctors I have been to.”

Had knee replacement was able walk without a cane in three weeks. Dr Hochfelder explained everything to me about the surgery what to expect after and how much better I would feel with knee replacement. I highly recommend him, he very compassionate and has a great sense of humor.

“My partial knee replacement was a tremendous success!”

I was recommended to Hudson Valley Bone & Joint Surgeons by friends of the family. I live upstate and refused to go for treatment in NYC. I decided to come to Westchester Co. and seek treatment with Dr. Hochfelder, who was highly recommended. The pre-surgical appointments and the actual surgery went flawlessly. I appreciate Dr. Hochfelder listening to me about the excruciating pain in my knee. He not only believed me, which established our trust right away, he explained why the pain was happening and some solutions to treating the pain. “Amazingly successful medical experience.”

Living with serious hip pain is a huge issue. Being diagnosed with needing a hip replacement at 66 causes even more issues since one realizes you're putting your future in the hands of a trusted doctor. From the very beginning Dr Hochfelder provided me with the confidence that this decision was the correct one. He's a truly gifted physician.
I once again came to appreciate how important it is to entrust the right medical professional with your pending operation. This is why I returned to HVBJ.

I just knew after meeting him that he was the surgeon I wanted. Partial knee replacement and it's perfect. My recovery wasnt easy intially, as most aren't, but it would have been worse had I not had a surgeon who is an expert in his field. So happy I had it done by Dr. Hochfelder and I can finally beat my 6 year old in a race!!

“The most amazing experience, no pain.”

Everyone else who had a knee replaced had pain and a slow recovery. I walked that night of surgery, and did stairs in 4 days. Hvb&j has the best team, protocol and plan of any operation you could want. I also never had to take anything stronger than tylenol extra strength. I am going to be 77 and this knee is great

“Fabulous”

He works with you. 2 years ago I tore meniscus in my right knee. I didnt want surgery so he sent me to pt which worked until this March when I pulverized a small bone in my knee. He and his surgical assistant Maggie were fabulous. I had a full knee replacement on June 30th and walked out of the hospital the next day. Did stairs a few days later and in 2 weeks I could drive short distances. He is amazing!

Dr. Jason Hochfelder is a very confident in what he says particularly when it came to his diagnosis in my case in needing a Total Knee Replacement. He exam the x-rays thoroughly to let me know exactly what needed to be done. He is definitely a very competent surgeon and I felt completely safe and at ease in his hands. I know that he is a very busy surgeon, but wish he could take out a little extra time just talking. What I did appreciate before having the surgery at his office, he allow my adult children have a conference call so they could ask questions about having the surgery since they couldn't be in person because of the pandemic. So all in all he is a outstanding surgeon and I was happy to have him as my surgeon.

“Thorough Knowledgeable Pleasant With Great Office Staff”

Dr. Stefan is the most attentive and thorough Diabetes Doctor that I have ever had in the fourteen years that I have had the disease. She is knowledgeable and helpful beyond my expectations. She prescribed a complete nutrition and medication program for me. She is Incredibly thorough on follow-ups. Would definitely recommend herâ€¦
