My experience with Doctor Rivadeneira and his medical staff was exceptional
I went to him about a blockage in my colon after completing two colonoscopy’s . He spent the time explaining to me my condition. He even provided me with a drawing showing exactly what his proposal was to correct my situation. His ability to explain and lead in layman’s terms was outstanding. He has a great bedside manner. After a frightening diagnosis of Colon Cancer, I was blessed by being referred to Dr. David Rivadeneira and his awesome team. What can I say? I am a 79 year old woman, not knowing what to expect, and the minute I met Dr. D, I knew all would be well. Everything was explained in detail, and a doctor who was patient and kind, as were all his wonderful team and front office staff. From my family and I, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I was recommended to see Dr. Rivadeneira for a fistula that was related to my Crohn’s disease. He was so personable, calm, and confident in his skills. He advised me to schedule surgery for a fistulotomy, and at first I was very anxious but eventually I went through with it, and I am so glad that I did. He was extremely reassuring the day of the surgery, and helpful with all of my questions and concerns. His operating team was fantastic. I highly recommend him to anyone!!

I can't say enough about my positive experience with Dr. R, the Northwell Health Network and my surgeries and stay at Huntington Hospital.
I mysteriously (I didn't rip during child birth, do not have gastric disease such as Crohn's) developed a rectovaginal fistula at the rarest possible spot at sphincter muscle. Doctor's near me, upstate NY, wouldn't even touch me. Dr. R first inserted seton drain to strengthen tissue and then performed fix months later. I am success story. I got my life back!

After 3 months of wearing a drain for an abscess from Diverticulitis, I was recommended to Dr. Rivadeneira from another surgeon, due to the fact I was considered high risk. Met with Dr. Rivadeneira who explained in detail the surgery I need. He also advised me based on the CT scan, I may need a colostomy bag whether it be for 3 month or the rest of my life since the diverticulosis was spread throughout my sigmoid colon. From the very first visit Dr Rivadeneira was very patient and explained everything so any Layman could understand, The procedure went exactly as he explained and was so quick I didn't realize it was done, I waited 6 years to call his office to have this procedure done, and I can't believe how having the Rubber-band treatment for hemorrhoids has improved my life. His staff was also very helpful and patient.

During a routine colonoscopy a cancerous tumor was found by my gastro(Dr. Keschner) who immediately called Dr. Rivadeneira. We were given an appointment 10am the following morning and surgery was scheduled for the end of the week. Dr. Rivadeneira took his time with us and explained everything that was going on and what options I had. I am now 6 months post op and I have very little change in my quality of life and I attribute that to Dr. Rivadeneira and his team.

I believe Dr. Rivadeneira's mission is saving lives. He saved both my life and my quality of life.
