I have been in Dr. Taube's care since 2013. I have been healthy for the most part.Dr. Taube has been okay until this last appt. I have seen her nurse practitioner who I really liked.
She was irritated that I had looked on the internet to see what my symptoms might be pointing to health wise. Because of that I came to her for diagnosis. I was kind and not aggressive in presenting my symptoms. I had them written on paper for her convenience. She did not look at them in my presence. I did not have opportunity to talk about them either. She said she would take a copy of it at the end of the appointment. No discussion of them with me. She told me I was fat (she could have said obese - and by the way I knew that before I went in) and talked to me like I had never heard of nutrition. If she only knew my knowledge and cared about my history. I will not be taking time off work to see her again. She did order labs but I need someone who is more pleasant to deal with. If I would been a person with a temper I think she would have had a good chance of being flattened. It is very sad for her too that she obviously has no joy in her career. I am teacher. I know what it is like to deal with parents and kids day after day. But I love my job and the people I serve. Dr, Taube does not appear to have any joy - at least in me being her patient.
