“AVN in the ankles and feet”
This PA looks at my swollen ankle while sitting across the room. That was how close his observation was. He then says stand up on your toes. Mine you I am on a walker barely able to walk. Then says here take 15 day pk of Steroids follow up MRI. Insurance denied MRI because Matthew would not do it with contrast. His office never calls to tell me. I had to call and ask why a MRI has not been scheduled. At that time the nurse said insurance denied it and that Matthew the PA wants me to come in and do Physical Therapy in his office. I could hardly crawl out of the bed. Finally I called insurance company and they didn't deny MRI they told PA needs to be done with contrast. So I said no to Physical Therapy thinking it would damage the ankle even more. Plus could hardly walk on it. His boss Dr. Haycook had me come back in did a xray and MRI. It showed AVN in right and left hip. The worse thing you can do for someone with AVN is give them steroids to take. So now the AVN has spread to both ankles and feet along with right knee. All the bones are dead. All because a PA could not get up off his stool and seriously look at the ankle and MRI it. So when your mind tells you to do something different then do. Cause now I am in the hands of a qualified doctor at Mayo Clinic.
