I’ve had chronic back pain for more than 25 years. As a former paramedic and equestrian, I have injured my back picking up patients who far out weighed me and horses didn’t help either! I have sought treatment wherever I have lived. I have had tensor units implanted twice, I have gone thru Lumbar 2,3,4 & 5 fusion as recently as 2016 and had multiple lower back injections in the intervening years! Dr Thomas Heil has been the BEST all around and with his recent treatment, I am pain free - I hope for a long, long time! I had a great first visit with Dr. Heil. Unlike most physicians he was not in a hurry to get me out. He listened to me shared his concerns and we agreed on a treatment plan. It wasn’t a one sided appointment where he just laid everything out and said this is my plan. He included me in my treatment plan and was very patient and understanding.

I have back pain and a way to fix it from previous experience. We moved here and needed a new pain specialist. He was recommended by my back surgeon and I am more than pleased. He listened to me and agreed this was the best course of action. He normally starts with the right side but made an exception and did the left first and gave me immediate pain relief. He will do the right side, which has a lesser amount of pain, and I expect to be pain free then. My last pain center was good but this one is extraordinary. I would definitely recommend this doctor.
